APC to unveil logo on Wednesday

All is now set for unveiling of the logo of the newly formed coalition party, All Progressives Congress, APC, Dailypost can confirm.
This, the party said was in line with its resolve to create an identity all Nigerians can relate with.
The Action Congress of Nigeria- ACN, Congress for Progressive Change – CPC, All Nigeria Peoples Party – ANPP, and (a faction of) All Progressives Grand Alliance – APGA, had in February announced their decision to present a unified front for the 2015 general elections in order to give the People’s Democratic Party a fierce battle. .

The event which will hold on Wednesday, may see the parties adopt a green-white-blue background logo.
In addition, the motto may read, “Justice, Peace and Prosperity”.
APC had earlier set up three committees, to draft its manifesto and constitution as part of its preparation to apply to the Independent National Electoral Commission ,INEC, for registration.
The Manifesto Committee recommended the inclusion of a broom, (ACN’s symbol) at the centre of the logo.
This decision, it was learnt is due to the fact that ACN is currently the largest opposition party in the country.
Meanwhile, ahead of the presentation of the reports, the 11 APC governors are reportedly set to meet with the members of the three committees on Tuesday to harmonize their views.
The governors are Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Ibikunle Amosu (Ogun), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo) and Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), all of ACN.
The ANPP governors expected to attend the meeting are Ibrahim Gaidam (Yobe), Kashim Shettima (Borno), Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar (Zamfara). Others are Tanko Al-Makura of CPC and Rochas Okorocha of APGA.
Although there are internal problems within APGA, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has assured that the genuine faction of the party, which he represents was in total support of APC.
But his Anambra counterpart, Peter Obi has not attended a single meeting of the APC governors, an indication that he may not be interested in joining or is studying the unfolding situation.
