British holidaymakers have been laying flowers and paying their respects to the 38 people who were killed by a gunman
on the beach in Tunisia. Despite the massacre in Sousse, some British tourists have defiantly continued to stay in Sousse and remember those who lost their lives outside the RIU Imperial Marhaba and Bellevue hotels. Three heart-shaped memorials have been laid on the beach to mark where so many people lost their lives. Handwritten messages and floral tributes have been left by people from around the world.

Locals fear their businesses will be destroyed by the attack, with European tourists going home early and staying away in the aftermath which claimed as many as 30 British lives.
However not all tourists have left the country, with a few holidaymakers defiantly staying on and arriving to remember those who lost their lives.
Among those who came to lay flowers today were Caroline Baptiste and her daughter Jessica from Kent, and twins Chloe and Courtney Chapman from Hull, who marked their 16th birthday in the town yesterday.
