The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Surakat Idowu, for allegedly brutalising his five-year-old daughter with a hot iron in the Ikotun area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that 45-year-old Idowu, who separated from his wife in 2013, allegedly tortured the girl with an iron in the face and in the private parts on Monday.....

Our correspondent gathered that the girl, who stayed with her father on Kayode Toyeso Street, Liasu Road, in the Ikotun area, had been asked by her father to dispose faeces in a potty into the latrine, but she poured it on the floor.
It was learnt that Idowu, who worked as an auto mechanic, got a hot iron and allegedly battered the girl’s body.

A naked suicidal woman jumped from the window of an apartment – but was saved when she landed on an air conditioning unit two stories below.

The woman, who has not been named, jumped out of the window of a building in Marble Hill in The Bronx, New York, on Saturday morning.

Officers from the Emergency Service Unit managed to convince the woman not to take her life and pulled her back inside, the New York Post reports.

She tried to fight them off, but they managed to get her inside, clothed her and then carried her out on a stretcher.
The woman was taken to North Central Bronx Hospital, where she will have a psychiatric evaluation.

Lagos Today! Pastor And His Church Member Arrested For Robbery After A Tip-Off

The Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State, has arrested a 45-year-old pastor, Joseph Olude, and his church member, Rasak Raheem, for allegedly robbing in the Idiroko-Oke Odan area, a border community between Ogun State, Nigeria, and the Benin Republic.

According to Punch, Olude and Raheem were arrested by the operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad, after a tip-off.
