He might be used to making miracles each and every year, but even Santa may struggle to make dreams come true for Britain's children.

That's because the nation's childrens' Christmas wish-lists contain a number of items not always readily available. Some children could be left feeling a little short-changed today, judging by the survey's results

Father Christmas has therefore been put in a tricky position, as according to a survey of children's wishlists the tenth most asked for present this year was for a dad, while top of the list was for a baby brother or sister.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Paid N40m for her Mother's Release SSS Nabs Abductors in Bank

In a typical sting operation, operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) have picked up six of the men that abducted Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of the Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

It has now emerged that the Okonjo family paid a N40 million ransom for her release, but the suspects were arrested, as they tried to deposit some of the money.

"The N40m, which was paid to the kidnappers was marked money from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. What happened was that the money was paid on Wednesday by our men and by Thursday, two persons had gone to the Nebisi Road branch of an old generation bank to deposit N15m out of the money.”

Jonathan Pays Condolence Visit To Late General Azazi's Family In Lagos

President Goodluck Jonathan, some Nigerian government ministers and aides paid a condolence visit to the family of fallen former army general and National Security Adviser, Andrew Owoye Azazi at the late general's home in Ikoyi Lagos.
Mr. Jonathan's visit place Lagos in a traffic lockdown as movement of vehicles were restricted on Monday.
General Azazi and  Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and four others were killed in an Agusta 109 Nigerian navy helicopter on December 15 2012 as they were returning from the burial of the father of Mr. Oronto Douglas, a presidential aide.

Inspired by Noah’s Ark from the Book of Genesis, Dutch artist Johan Huibers built a modern day replica spending a whopping $1.2 million on it. His reasons for building the vessel  – he feared the effects global warming would someday have on his country, flooding included. The idea came to him in 1992, when he had a dream about his native land submerged in a flood similar to the one in the Book of Genesis. He continued to think about it until he finally did 

something about it. And the result is a 130m long, 29m wide, 23m high ark that he completed in 2005. US Government Warns Citizens Against Travelling To Nigeria, Chris Brown Ignores

The United States government has warned its citizens against travelling to Nigeria, particularly during the holiday season.
The US Department of State, in a message to Americans, warned them not to embark on any trip to Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Plateau, Gombe, Yobe, Kaduna, Bauchi, Borno, and Kano states, saying they could be kidnapped, robbed or attacked by gunmen.
“Based on safety and security risk assessments, the Embassy has placed further restrictions for travel by US officials to all northern Nigerian states (in addition to those listed above),” the message said.
The department also said its officials must receive advance clearance by the US Mission for travel in the above states, as being mission-essential.
