Tuface Idibia has lost his dad today. Pa Idibia died this evening at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja. He had been undergoing treatments for prostrate cancer for a while  but sadly,didn't survive it.He passed on today at an undisclosed hospital
Tuface Idibia recently announced at a charity event that his 67 year old father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The cancer which was detected at its early stages was been treated with chemotherapy before he eventually died. 
May his soul rest in peace!

Ondo  State commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade, confirmed to Saturday Tribune on Friday night that the governor had already met his party’s stakeholders across the state on the pressure on him to rejoin the PDP which he left in 2007.

“He met the stakeholders across the state today and put the issues on the table. A decision will be made and announced very soon,” the commissioner said.

I think it is too elementary to attempt any formal definition of democracy.

It will serve our purpose to say that it is participatory governance in the sense that we all have a say, whether we vote or not. It is also useful to remind ourselves that participation is largely by representation; in other words, those who are old enough to vote and those who are not, are represented by people elected to speak, think and act for us.

This part is very important because we all cannot be in Government, especially the Executive and Legislative arm, so we must elect or otherwise choose people to go there on our behalf.

Members of  a faction of the  National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, yesterday described as untrue, claim by their National Treasurer, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka Oluomo, that loyalists of a factional leader destroyed his (Oluomo) property during last Saturday’s clash at the 10th anniversary of the coronation of Oba  Agbabiaka of Isolo.

Rather, they said that the destruction of Akinsanya’s residence in Ejigbo area of Lagos could have been masterminded by his loyalists to indict the accused, identified as Olufemi Olowu.
It would be recalled that fight broke out between factions of the union at the installation of two chiefs in Isolo area of Lagos, during which several persons were injured.

Operatives of  the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have smashed a syndicate that specialised in selling human parts, arresting three of its  members.

The suspects are two popular herbalists in Sagamu area and a mother of two whose husband was alleged to be a supplier of the human parts.

Recovered from the suspects were two human skulls suspected to have been procured from a graveyard.

Their arrest, according to Police sources, followed an intelligence report received by the Lagos State Police Command on activities of human parts dealers, which made the Commander SARS, Abba Kyari, to embark on a manhunt, that led to the arrest of the three suspects, Mustapha Muritala, Sunday Oluyeba and Adenike Olanrewaju, with others still at large in Ojumerin area of Sagamu, Ogun State.

Widow of the late Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, the man who brought the deadly Ebola disease to Nigeria, Mrs. Decontee Sawyer, yesterday said that she shared the pains of the family of Dr Ameyo Stella Adedavoh, the female doctor who attended to Sawyer.

Responding to an email query by our correspondent, Mrs. Sawyer added that it was painful that the late Sawyer caused so much damage in both his country Liberia and Nigeria with the Ebola virus.

Mrs Sawyer said: “I share the pains that the family members of the Nigerian doctor are going through. It is just a pity that Patrick had to cause this damage both in Liberia and Nigeria.”

A contestant on hit reality show Dating Naked is suing VH1's parent company Viacom for $10million, claiming the network failed to blur out her genitals during a wrestling scene. 

Jessie Nizewitz, a 28-year-old model from Long Island, New York, said the producers repeatedly assured her none of private parts would be shown in the episode that aired July 31, according to the New York Post. 

'I felt lied to, manipulated and used,' she told the paper. 'I was horrified.'
