Ronke Shonde's Alleged Killer Husband Tells His Side of What Happened While In Hiding, Denies Killing Her


The man who allegedly killed his wife and mother of his 2 children, Ronke Shonde in Lagos on Friday, has given his side of the story while in hiding. Lkan Shonde spoke to PUNCH Metro over the phone line provided by his in-law, Bolatito, which was confirmed by the police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos. Mr. Shonde told Punch correspondent that his wife, Ronke provoked him on Thursday when she described how her lover slept with her in a hotel in Abuja on Thursday night.

Lekan, a depot worker in the Apapa area of Lagos State, said his wife of eight years changed after she allegedly started dating the general manager of a publishing company she worked for.XX He said his late mother had warned him against marrying Ronke but he ignored his mother's warnings and still married Ronke, a decision he regrets.

Canteen Cook Fired After Student Finds Rat In Her Food


This is quite irritating. A student was shocked beyond limits after finding a rat in the dinner she bought & took out from a college canteen in central China's Hunan province on May 7. The photos taken by the student and uploaded to her social media account immediately went viral on Chinese social media for it shocked many.

The canteen cook was fired and manager dismissed after the incident, according to a statement published by the college afterwards.

Francis Aiyegbeni, Boxing Promoter Who Owns the Popular D’Rovans Hotel, (now Wallan Hotel) in Ibadan Dies Aged 69



Sport philanthropist and boxing promoter, Chief Francis Aiyegbeni is dead.
Aiyegbeni, who owns the popular D’Rovans hotel, now Wallan Hotel, in Ibadan, was reported dead on Saturday morning at the age of 69.
He  was said to have been rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on Saturday after he failed to respond to treatment at the Police Hospital, Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State

Information gathered reveal that he was  admitted into the Intensive Care Unit, (ICU) of the hospital less than 24 hours before his death.
Tribunesport also learnt that the business mogul had been down with an ailment before he was referred to UCH during the week.

A TEAM of Nigerian doctors in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territiory, has shown the wonders it can perform in the country with highly improved healthcare facilities, with a surgical feat, the kind CNN would have beamed to global viewers if it had been done in America.

The story began when a commercial motorcyclist, Muhammed Kabiru, 35, first proved that he is a diehard and that God has special interest in him.

He miraculously survived an attempt by a robber to snatch his motorcycle by stabbing him in the head with a long dagger that penetrated very deep into his head and stuck fast. It remained in that position until doctors surgically removed it after several hours.

The incident happened in Abuja.

Lagos Police Hunts For Man Accused Of Killing His Banker Wife


The Lagos State Police Command has launched a manhunt for Mr. Lekan Shonde, who allegedly killed his banker-wife, Ronke, in Lagos on Thursday night.

Ronke Shonde, a mother of two, was found dead in their apartment located on Tiemo Close, Off Awori Street, in the Egbeda-Idimu area of Lagos State on Friday morning.

The husband was said to have fled with his wife’s mobile phones after the incident occurred.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos Command, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident on Saturday, adding that the matter had been transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.
