Notorious TOMPOLO Shot Dead In Delta By Police

An emerging report suggests that a notorious Tompolo, (of course NOT Government Ekpemupolo, a former militants leader) has been shot dead by the men of Nigerian Police.

According to Daily Post, the Police officers of Enerhen Police Divisional Headquarters in a joint patrol with members of SEDCO Community Vigilante on Sunday, April 9 shot dead a notorious armed robber simply identified as Tompolo for allegedly robbing an unidentified woman at gun point at about 5am while three others escaped with bullet wounds in Dugbo Estate, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State,

Tompolo as the suspect is fondly called has been terrorizing the area until he met his waterloo.

In what is seen as additional value added service in its operations, Primero Transport Services Limited, operator of the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is introducing a free internet access on board its fleet of buses.

Primero, which operates on the Lagos-Ikorodu BRT corridor with about 450 air-conditioned buses, is currently planning a partnership with a foreign firm to establish vehicle assembling plant in Ibadan, Oyo State, by November this year, as well as multiple floor car park in Lagos to offer park and ride services to the public.

United Nations Nigerian Employee Robs Four Manhattan Banks

A United Nations employee was busted for robbing four Manhattan banks, all during his lunch hour, authorities said.

Abdullahi Shuaibu, 53, was picked up by cops on Monday and hit with two counts of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery for the crimes committed during his two-month spree, the New York Post reports.

All four banks are within walking distance of UN headquarters on First Ave. near E. 42nd St., where the Nigeria native works as a journalist for an African news agency, police said.

EFCC Obtains Warrant To Search All Flats In Osborne Towers - Another Apartment Suspected To Have Hidden Cash

The EFCC, THISDAY gathered, has obtained a warrant from a court to search all the apartments in Osborne Towers, where the N13.3 billion was discovered.

According to sources in the commission, the EFCC at the weekend wrote to all the occupants of the building notifying them that its operatives will carry out a search of all the apartments.

THISDAY learnt that the reason for the search arose from the suspicion that there might be more cash hidden in another apartment at Osborne Towers, other than Flat 7B.

A source revealed that the whistle blower who blew the lid on Apartment 7B, had also informed the commission that another apartment has cash stashed in it.

The whistle blower, the source said, is believed to be a young graduate who works in the building.

It was for this reason that the commission went to court to obtain a warrant to search all the apartments in the building.

While Ayodele Oke, the DG of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) has claimed that the $43 million, N23.2 million and £27,800 (about N15bn) cash found in an apartment in Lagos last week belongs to his agency, information available to SR suggests the woman seen hauling the money into the apartment in Ghana-Must-Go bags may have been Folashade Oke, his wife. 

An investigation revealed that the owners of Apartment 7B gave Folashade Oke, with phone number +2348059833410, as their contact. Sources at the NIA confirmed Folashade to be the spouse of their Director-General, Mr. Oke.

More facts emerged at the weekend on the cash haul at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was on the trail of some high-profile tenants when it found the $43.4 million, £27,000 and N23 million at House 6, Apartment 7B, it was learnt.

Four of the tenants have been quizzed; a petition is pending against the fifth.
