Veteran Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu has shared a lovely video of himself surprising his mother while she worked at her farm.

He slowly crept on her, while she was bent over, concentrating on what she was doing on the farm and then she turned, only to find him standing behind her and she was pleasantly surprised.

Sharing a video of how he surprised his mother while she was working at her farm, the comedian wrote:

Pastor-in-charge of Holy Gathering Evangelical Church of God, Elijah Oluwatobiloba, has been arrested for allegedly killing his lover and burying her body inside his church in Ogun State.

The suspect, upon interrogation, claimed that he carried out the heinous act for reasons known to “him and God”. The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the command had received a report of a missing person.

He said that the case was reported by one Adebola Saheed, who stated that his younger sister, Raliat Sanni, 35, had left home since March 21 and had yet to return.

Shamsu Iqbal, 61, was the lynchpin of a gang which exploited his ‘trusted’ position to falsify records for at least 437 people.

Yesterday all four men involved in the scam were found guilty following a trial and will now be sentenced at a hearing next week. 

They face a maximum sentence of 14 years in jail.

The potential loss to the taxpayer was assessed by Home Office statisticians as £56million, based on the amount the 437 illegal immigrants could have falsely claimed in benefits over the six years of the fraud.

Basics for Marriage; Love and Respect - 'Men Run On Respect, Women On Love'

Scripture teaches us that Christians should honour or respect all men (1 Peter 2:17). Every human being bears the image of God, and so, of course, we are called on to respect and honour that. And of course, Scripture also teaches us to love our neighbour (Leviticus 19:18), and Jesus in his famous story makes the point that our neighbour is whatever person God has placed right in front of us (Luke 10:29–37). So all Christians are to love everyone, and all Christians should honour everyone. That is the baseline.

But when we come down to the particular relationship of husbands to wives, and wives to husbands, Scripture gives us an important, additional emphasis. Husbands are told specifically to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Wives are told specifically to respect their husbands as the church does Christ (Ephesians 5:33).

There are three things that we can take away from this. The lessons are not limited to three, but we should make a point of grasping at least these three things.

Oshiomhole, Onu, Nnamani in APC chairmanship race

Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo state; Ogbonnaya Onu, minister of science and technology; and Ken Nnamani, ex-senate president, are seeking to succeed John Oyegun, outgoing chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Daily Trust, the trio are battling to lead the ruling party into the next election.

WINNIE Mandela, the former wife of Nelson Mandela has died aged 81 after a remarkable life in the spotlight marked by brutal controversy.

South African anti-apartheid campaigner Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has died aged 81, her family have confirmed.

“She succumbed peacefully in the early hours of Monday afternoon surrounded by her family and loved ones,” the family said in a statement.

The ex-wife of Nelson Mandela was known as “mother of the nation” and had been admitted to hospital in January with a kidney infection.

Her family said she “kept the memory of her imprisoned husband Nelson Mandela alive during his years on Robben Island and helped give the struggle for justice in South Africa one its most recognisable faces.”

Doctors at the Ughelli Central Hospital, Delta State, are battling to save the lives of a 12-year-old boy and his 38-year-old mother after they were attacked by their landlady, simply identified as Mrs Atalekor, with a razor blade over the droppings of a chicken to be used for the Easter celebration.

According to reports, the woman, identified as Mrs Onobrakpeya and her son, Emuobonuvie Onobrakpeya, was reportedly attacked by one Mrs Ataleko, the homeowner at their Ufuoma community residence, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

The allegation by the victims is coming just as the landlady’s husband, Mr Prosper Atalekor said it was his 10-year-old son that slashed the face and neck of the victims in defence of his mother, who was being beaten by the Onobrakpeyas.
