After a man acted violently towards two female PCs, teenager Kiya Ingham stepped in and restrained him.

On the afternoon of June 10, on Lewes Road, Brighton, two female PCs Lynsey Burkinshaw and Johanna Clarke had arrested Bradley Jay Hughes, who was drunk, after an allegation of a domestic related incident. Hughes was initially upset but calm. Having been placed in the police car, he suddenly became violent. He kicked out at the officers, pushing them over as he got out of the and began running away. Kiya, 16, who was walking past dropped his bag and immediately chased Hughes and tackled him to the ground. PCs Burkinshaw and Clarke then struggled to restrain the man with Kiya assisting.

BREAKING News: Burkina Faso’s Compaore Resigns After Violent Protests - General Takes Over

Burkina Faso's President Blaise Compaore has announced his resignation, following violent protests at his attempt to extend his 27-year rule.

Mr Compaore issued a statement saying the presidency was now vacant and urging elections within 90 days.

Military chief Gen Honore Traore says he has taken over as head of state.

On Thursday, protesters angry at Mr Compaore's attempt to amend the constitution set fire to parliament and government buildings.

'Social peace'

Following the protests, Mr Compaore said he had agreed not to seek another term, but that he would remain in power until a transitional government had completed its work in 2015.

Authorities say a Jefferson woman sexually abused a 3-year-old boy and had sex with a dog, crimes that were captured on video obtained this week by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. 

Angeline Lodice, 26, 148 Newman Avenue, was arrested Monday (Oct. 27) after detectives viewed videos and photos showing her engaged in sex acts with the toddler, an arrest report says. Another video showed her having intercourse with a dog, the report says.

The abuse came to light after the father of the child was contacted by a relative of Lodice, who said he received photographs and videos of Lodice and the child, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputy wrote in a report.

Former Vice- President and leading presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has explained his decision to stay away from Wednesday’s Special Convention of the party.

Former Soldier Battered After Disturbing Burglars

A former soldier was brutally attacked on his own doorstep when he disturbed a gang of burglars.

The callous thieves also stole the wedding ring given to him by his late wife and money he had saved up to pay for a trip to Latvia to see his son as well.

Adrian Peter Percival, 59, who is an ex-Royal Fusilier, suffered severe bruising after he was savagely punched, kicked and stamped on outside his home on Trafford Road in Eccles.

It happened at about 10.30pm on 13 September 2014.

He was returning from a night out and as he placed his key in the front door, he was attacked from behind by a masked man. Two other accomplices clad in balaclava then joined in the assault.

A 24-year-old British born Nigerian woman became the latest cosmetic surgery fatality after she died over the weekend following a procedure by a not-exactly-certified Bangkok doctor.The family of the British girl who died while having cut-price plastic surgery in Thailand have revealed that they didn't know she had gone abroad.

Joy Williams, 23, from Thamesmead, was described as a 'caring and funny' girl who was 'loved by everybody.

She died on October 23 after travelling to Bangkok to have £2,000 buttock augmentation surgery.

Speaking yesterday from his home in Lagos, Nigeria, Miss Williams's older brother Anietie, 28, said he had been looking forward to her visiting him in Nigeria this Christmas.
