There is a new twist to the Synagogue Church of All Nations after a building collapse saga. Our correspondent who is at the scene says a trailer load of dead people have been unearthed from debris at the church.

Our correspondent says many victims — most of whom are labourers, artisans and church members — who were trapped are now believed to be dead. It would be recalled that a five-storey building collapsed at the headquarters of Synagogue Church in Ikotun, Lagos state.

General Benjamin Adekunle (rtd), popularly known as ‘Black Scorpion’ is dead.

According to The Nation, his wife, Folake, said he died Saturday morning in Lagos although the cause of his death was not revealed.

Wikipedia reports that Adekunle was born in Kaduna. His father was a native of Ogbomosho, while his mother was a member of the Bachama tribe. He underwent secondary education at the government college, Okene (in present day Kogi State).

He enlisted in the Nigerian Army in 1958 shortly after completing his school certificate examinations. He passed the army selection examinations and thereafter was despatched to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK, the British Army’s initial officer entry academy. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on December 15, 1960.

Over 15 bodies have been recovered from the scene of the collapsed building in the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun, in Lagos.

The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Friday Adeboayo, confirmed the recovery of the dead bodies, adding that rescue operations are on to evacuate injured persons.

The building said to be guest house for foreign visitors reportedly collapsed Friday morning.

Reports say many worshipers who lived inside the church were among those who died, while some are believed to still be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.

14 Year Old US Boy Charged with Desecrating a Statue of Jesus Christ

A 14-year-old boy in the United States has been charged with desecrating a statue of Jesus Christ.

The Pennsylvania-based boy is said to have stood in front of a Jesus statue, mimicking a sex act. He then posted pictures of his actions on social media,Daily Mail reports.

Breaking news reports, one of the buildings at Pastor TB Joshua's Synagogue Church of All Nations Headquarters, Ikotun, Lagos has just collapsed. Many people are reported to have died and many others injured due to the incident at the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos.

Some members of the church and workers doing construction work in the church premises are feared dead. As at the time of filing this report four ambulance buses have been loaded with victims while some were taken to the hospital others were reported to have been taken to the mortuary.

The is yet to give an official response on the calamity that befell it.

The church located in Ikotun, Lagos state had embarked on an expansion drive over the last few months. General Overseer of the church, T.B. Joshua is reputed for his healing globally.

Oscar Pistorius is facing jail after being found guilty of manslaughter over the Valentine's Day shooting of his girlfriend.

The Paralympian stood impassively in the dock, his hands folded in front of him, as the judge convicted him of culpable homicide after he shot Reeva Steenkamp dead at his home.

He could now face a prison term of up to 15 years, but equally may walk free from court with a suspended term when he is sentenced at a later date.

Judge Thokozile Masipa told the hushed courtroom: 'Having regard to the totality of this evidence in this matter, the unanimous decision of this court is the following: on count one, murder... the accused found not guilty and is discharged.

Oscar Pistorius has been sensationally cleared of all murder charges over the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

“We estimate the beast weighted around 600 pounds or next to 300 kilos since it’s head, tail and fins had been chopped off by local villagers before biologists were aware of the catch and could examine the body” explains biologist Kalaina Maona, from the National University of Laos’s Natural Science Department.

Nicola Mason from Rhydwyn in Holyhead, North Wales, stripped off in front of the boy and then forced him into a sex act while John Ford watched, it was claimed.

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the removal of the #BringBackGoodluck2015 banners, a hashtag promoted for his re-election, but whose adaptation of the popular #BringBackOurGirls, sparked outrage Tuesday.
