Yellow: Abba Kyari, Police Capture Notorious Abuja Kidnap Kingpin


Information reaching the POLITICS NIGERIA newsdesk on Thursday afternoon reveals that the Nigerian police force has arrested a notorious Kidnap kingpin, Bello Audu is popularly known as ‘Yellow’.

Audu is the alleged Mastermind of Kidnappings on Abuja-Kaduna road. He is said to be the most-wanted commander of kidnappers terrorising Abuja-Kaduna-Kano road axis. He was reportedly arrested by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the police led by DCP Abba Kyari.

Nigerians Repatriated From South Africa After Attacks


Nigeria began repatriating more than 600 of its citizens from South Africa following a wave of deadly xenophobic attacks that frayed relations among neighbouring nations.

Private Nigerian airline Air Peace volunteered to fly people for free back to the commercial capital Lagos on Wednesday.

A flight carrying 189 Nigerians landed in the commercial capital Lagos late Wednesday, with some of those onboard punchings the air and singing the national anthem while waving pictures of burnt shops.

A member of the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Justice Sheriff Hafizu has said there was a preponderance of evidence to prove that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio was robbed of victory in the February 23 National Assembly Election, Igbere TV reports.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stirred controversy among his party faithful after he congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari whose victory at the polls was upheld by the tribunal on Wednesday, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Wike, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement Wednesday, urged Buhari to use his victory to work for all Nigerians, irrespective of their political leanings.

The remains of Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe arrived at the country’s main airport earlier today but his final resting place remained a source of mystery amid a dispute between some family members and the government.

Mugabe who ruled the southern African nation for 37 years until he was ousted by his own army in November 2017, died in a Singapore hospital five days ago.

He explained that his decision was as a result of next level dealings seeing that his vision has grown and he needs people who see as far as he sees in a recent chat with Cool FM.

“It was just next level dealings. I wanted to get somewhere else, the vision became a lot farther like I saw farther than I used to see and I just needed somebody that’ll see as much, most especially someone that’s been there with other people (artistes) but me and my brother are cool,” his words said.

Man Kills His Stingy Brother In Ekiti, Steals His Bike (Photo)


A 24-year-old man, Ebenezer Olorunleke has been arrested by the Ekiti State police command for killing his brother and stealing his properties including a motorbike.

Parading the suspect before newsmen on Tuesday, September 10, the State's Commissioner of Police, Mr Asuquo Amba said Olorunleke who is from Jege in Kogi State killed his brother on August 29 after he stormed his house at Abe Cocoa area of Okeila with three members of his gang now at large.

He reportedly stabbed his brother to death with a screwdriver and a knife, after which they stole his red coloured Bajaj motorbike with registration number ADK 100 UJ.
