The newest royal, who appeared wrapped tightly in a white blanket, was born at 8.34am today weighing 8lbs and 3oz - less than three hours after the Duchess was admitted to hospital. Kate, 33, wore a yellow and white dress and smiled for the cameras while Prince William looked in admiration at their second child and first daughter. Their eldest, Prince George, was taken to meet his newborn sister earlier today where he offered a timid wave to the gathered crowds from the hospital steps, before he was whisked home for his bath and tea by his nanny.

$300m Fight of the Century - Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao - Richest Fight In Boxing History Finally On!

Floyd Mayweather is looking ahead to retirement and has been more subdued than before...
Via -Dailymail

No fewer than 11,500 seats were sold for boxing's first weigh-in for which tickets have ever been required and those $10 for charity pieces of paper were changing hands for up to $600 as May-Pac-Mania cranked up to fever pitch in the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
A stage setting lavish enough for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical extravanganza awaited the two gladiators in Saturday night's Fight of the Century as they made their way to the scales through the roaring crowd.
The fans of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao had struggled through long queues and security searches to gain entry, some of them arriving three hours before the ritual checking of poundage.

Fuel Scarcity: Arik Air to Suspend Local And International Flights Today

Hundreds of air passengers may be stranded at the various airports across the country as Nigeria major airline, Arik Air, plans to suspend flight operations today, due to the lingering aviation fuel scarcity in the country. Arik Air controls about sixty percent of the Nigerian aviation market.
The Managing Director, Arik Air, Mr Chris Ndulue made this disclosure yesterday at the airline corporate headquarters while addressing aviation reporters.
He said the airline has been operating 20% of its daily flights schedule due to scarcity of aviation fuel, particularly in Lagos, its major hub. The airline operates about 120 flights on its domestic routes daily.

Floyd Mayweather: The thug with two jets, 100 cars and $250,000 in a duffel bag he'll blow at a strip club if he wins the big fight

Floyd Mayweather, the thug with two jets and 100 cars

Tucked away in a corner of Floyd Mayweather’s changing room at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is a space reserved for a black Nike duffel bag that remains with him at all times.
Safeguarded by a member of the 38-year-old boxer’s extensive entourage, and weighing in at around a stone, it’s used to transport the ‘bricks’ of cash that he likes to plough through during the course of a typical day.
Staff call it the ‘pregnant duffel’, for a simple reason: it’s always bulging with money.
Tonight, in advance of Mayweather’s long-awaited showdown with Manny Pacquiao, that bag’s contents will include five shrink-wrapped bundles of $100 bills, each bundle worth some $50,000 — the equivalent of roughly £31,250.
This not-so-petty cash has been set aside to finance the first couple of hours of what the famously brash fighter, who is undefeated in 47 professional bouts, confidently expects to be a raucous victory celebration.

You’re a Bad Loser, APC Leaders Blast Goodluck Jonathan For Saying Buhari Did Not Win The Last Election Fairly.

Goodluck Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan has been described as a bad loser who would rather continue to seek public sympathy than asking for forgiveness from Nigerians who rejected him at the March 28 presidential election for bad governance.

This was the consensus of some All Progressives Congress, APC leaders who were reacting to President Jonathan’s claim on Thursday that the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari did not win the last election fairly.

Why Igbo Leaders Visited Buhari – Ikedife

Some Igbo leaders including retired Army Generals and the former President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife have paid a private visit to the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to make a case for the Igbo in the incoming APC-led federal government so that the region will not be abandoned for not giving massive support to the victorious party like the South West during the just concluded presidential election.

Dr Ikedife who disclosed this at his Nnewi residence, yesterday, said the purpose of the visit was to appeal to General Buhari not to leave the Igbo in the cold in his appointments and infrastructural development because of the low support he received from the South East geo-political zone during the presidential election.

“You know people of the South East voted heavily for the PDP and not very much for the APC. And I had always warned during the campaigns that the Igbo should not put all their eggs in one basket. And the impression will be that the President-elect was not supported by the people of the South East. Our visit is to let the President-elect know that he is the President for all and that he has to accommodate people from the South East in his administration.

Hello Lagos, Nigeria! A message to Nigeria from Ms. Lauryn Hill

We are disappointed to report that we will not be performing at tonight's concert. From our end, we did everything we were supposed to do, including waiting at the airport for many hours, ready to fly out and share the evening with you. Unfortunately, after much effort, the promoter was not able to get all of our travel arrangements taken care of. This prevented us from being able to fly into Nigeria in time to make the concert. We were all very excited to come, and very disappointed that we couldn't make this one. HOWEVER, we are working to reschedule our appearance ASAP. From what we've been told, the promoter intends to honor all tickets sold. Our best to and for Lagos. Love and Blessings!

Ms. Lauryn Hill and the MLH band and Production Team.

Photos of Aridolf Hotel In Bayelsa State Allegedly Owned By First Lady Patience Jonathan - Financial Times

The Aridolf hotel in Yenagoa is an unlikely monument to kitsch on a reclaimed swamp in Nigeria’s oil-producing Niger delta. In the lobby, Louis XIV furniture is accompanied by bowls of plastic fruit, faux Dutch landscapes and a grotesquely gaudy chandelier. The hotel is redolent of the riches on display in a region that for half a century has generated the bulk of Nigeria’s wealth.

Pictured: Angry Mum Smacks Her Son When She Spots Him On TV Throwing Sticks at Police During Baltimore Riots Protests [Photo+Video]

BALTIMORE -- This Baltimore mom saw her son throwing rocks at police on television during the Baltimore riots. The Woman wearing yellow was the Only One caught on camera disciplining her masked son for throwing rocks at police. And there was no 'beating' of the young thug-in-training in the video. This young man was stopped in his tracks and taught consequences by a caring mother!. It will be a long time before he forgets his debut on national television.

I agree with this woman's action of trying to get the son off the street,  I would if it was my son. That's what's wrong with these younger generations, the parents aren't anywhere to be found anymore.

Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran (inset) are expected to be executed at around midnight on the Indonesian island of Nusakambangan - 5pm UK time. The relatives were mobbed by journalists as they arrived at the prison (main and left, which shows Sukuraman's mother).

The shooting is set to go ahead despite Indonesia's Constitutional Court agreeing to hear a legal challenge brought by the duo and setting a hearing date of May 12. Chan and Sukumaran are part of the Bali Nine who were convicted in 2005 over a plot to smuggle around 18.2lbs of heroin from Indonesia to Australia. The pair, as well as other death row inmates, have remained defiant in their final hours inside the prison on Indonesia's 'death island', where coffins were seen arriving earlier this evening (bottom right). APC Accuses Jonathan Govt of ‘Last-Minute Dubious Activities’

Alhaji Lai Mohammed

The All Progressives Congress has threatened to probe the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan over some “last-minute dubious activities” ahead of the May 29 handover.
The party alleged that the outgoing administration had been looting the nation’s resources, hurriedly recruiting into the public service and privatisatising key financial institutions.
The APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Sunday, said such actions would have serious repercussions after May 29.
It said apart from media reports of such anomalies, the party had received reliable information from members of the public about some dubious actions by key officials of the outgoing Jonathan administration.
The party said while the Jonathan administration remains in charge until the midnight of May 29, it was important for the outgoing administration not to create any more problems for the incoming government than it had already done, or to tie the new government’s hands through some suspicious actions.
