How Our Paths Crossed  

I met Tiwa on August 14, 2010 at Elohor and Owen Aisen’s wedding at the Landmark Hotel in London. She was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding. I remember her walking up to me and throwing sweet compliments at my daughter. That was enough to endear me to someone who was before then a total stranger. She thought my daughter was beautiful in her baby pink dress, shoes and stockings. People who are close to me enough know I have a strong presence of mind. Let me shock you and maybe Tiwa too. I recall quite vividly her exact words; “She is so gorgeous, her hair is beautiful, l can’t wait to have a girl and dress her up nicely like this.” And l replied her that she was definitely have one someday by the grace of God.

Missing Nigerian Doctor Found Dead in Lake Michigan, Few Weeks to His Graduation - Body Pulled From Lake Michigan

A body pulled from Lake Michigan over the weekend has been identified as Ambrose Monye, a medical student who went missing in Chicago just weeks before his graduation.

The 28-year-old student at a university in Guadalajara, Mexico, had mysteriously disappeared in Chicago in April and family and friends were frantically searching the city for clues on what might have happened. 

His body was found Sunday in the water near the 5400 block of South Lake Shore Drive. The cause of manner of death are pending, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

A Nigerian student was falsely accused of rape by a 21-year-old shop assistant who claimed she drunkenly thought she was having sex with his white friend, a court heard yesterday.

Sam Obeghe, 24, was having sex with the woman at his flat at the end of a drunken night out in Bolton, Greater Manchester, only to stop when she unexpectedly cried the name of his 22-year-old friend Zack Garrigan.

As he did so, the woman, who had earlier been having sex with Mr Garrigan at the flat in nearby Heaton, ran her fingers through Mr Obeghe’s hair and realised she was with the wrong man.

Ronke’s Family Releases Proof of Battery, Infidelity - Alleged Lover Denies Relationship

The man accused of dating late Ronke Shonde, Kayode, has denied the allegation, saying he only had a professional relationship with the deceased.

This is just as the family of the victim released Whatsapp snapshots which showed Ronke’s husband, Lekan, admitting to brutalising her, asking for God’s forgiveness and promising to stop beating her.

Our correspondent had reported that 51-year-old Lekan allegedly killed his wife at their home in the Egbeda-Idimu area of Lagos State last Thursday.

Lekan, a dockworker, had however denied complicity in the death, saying he never touched her.

He accused her of sleeping with Kayode, the general manager of a publishing company where she worked as the human resources manager.

After three days in hiding, the suspect gave himself up to the police and was taken to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.

British Prime Minister David Cameron wednesday attempted to reverse his unguarded remark about Nigeria and Afghanistan, two countries which on Tuesday, he, described as “fantastically corrupt”, when he was briefing Queen Elizabeth II on the ongoing anti-corruption summit being hosted by the United Kingdom.

While briefing Members of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons wednesday, the British PM said Nigeria and Afghanistan had taken “remarkable steps forward” on corruption, reported the BBC.

The PM said the countries’ leaders were “battling hard” to tackle the problem.

A taxi driver got more than he bargained for after he was caught smashing his friend's wife near his house in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.

According to reports,  the taxi driver identified as Patrick Chanda usually drives his friend's wife to work on a daily basis. He said he was forced to have s*x with her because she failed to pay him for service rendered. His words below; 

"After taking her for work in the morning, she told me that she will give me money later in the afternoon after she comes back from work. I agreed because that is the nature of our work. She later called me around 7.30pm to pick her up from Chilanga were she said she had traveled for work and i agreed".
