Nigerian Woman Jailed Over £114K Benefits Fraud In UK

A Nigerian woman who fraudulently obtained over £114,000 from a local council in the UK, has been handed a two-year jail sentence. 

The 49-year-old mother of three identified as Olusola Owoeye, rented out an apartment she bought with a fraudulent mortgage while claiming she was homeless, to get a flat given out by a local council. She was nabbed after one of her tenants she charged as much as £820 a month made a complaint at the council.

Family members of Nigerian scholar, Pius Adesanmi, are currently at loggerheads with his wife, Muyiwa, who they claim buried his remains in Canada without their consent.

Adesanmi who died in the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines crash in March this year was committed to mother earth in Ottawa, Canada on Saturday, October 26th. Read here.

In an article released by his relative, Mike Oyelude, and posted by the Cable, the family accused Mrs Adesanmi of burying their son in Canada against his wish. Deborah Onwu Stabbed To Death In Canada By Her Client

A youth social worker employed by Wood’s Homes was fatally stabbed early Friday morning while she was on the job caring for a man, police say.

Fresh reports and data have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo apparently earns more from Instagram than he does from playing soccer for Juventus.

The 34-year-old pockets an annual $47.8 million from paid Instagram posts, according to a study by social media firm Hopper HQ on Buzz Bingo. In contrast, his salary at Juventus is reportedly $34 million, according to Goal.com.

Ronaldo's reported income from Instagram makes him the platform's highest earner, ahead of Lionel Messi and Kylie Jenner.
