A 40-year-old commercial bus driver has been accused of defiling a 7-year-old girl, who he calls 'my wife' and damaging her bladder which sees her now urinating constantly on herself.

The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday at a compound in Ilupeju PalmGroove area, Lagos State.

Offa, Kwara State remained in shock yesterday, 24 hours after a gang of robbers attacked five banks and a police station in the town, leaving massive blood on their trail.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed yesterday that nine of its personnel were killed by the robbers.
Seven other people lost their lives in the attacks, spokesman for the command, Mr.Ajayi Okansanmi, told reporters in an update on the mayhem.

Unofficial accounts yesterday said the death toll might have risen to 23, including two policemen allegedly shot by the robbers in Okuku, Osun State while returning from the operation.

The death toll from Thursday’s robbery attack in Offa town in Kwara State has risen to at least 30. About 30 robbers had hit the town, raiding five commercial banks along the Owode Market Area of the town in Offa Local Government Area of the state.

The attack which lasted for hours had left the banks damaged with many feared killed and many more injured. The armed robbers were said to have made away with several millions of naira from the banks, leaving behind a tale of sorrow, tears and blood.

Initial reports had put the death toll at between 12 and 15, but the figure has risen significantly.

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has promised to bear the medical costs of the victims of armed robbery attack on Offa, the headquarters of Offa local government area of the state on Thursday.

The armed robbers struck on Thursday, April 5, 2018.

Over 20 persons including police officers lost their lives after robbers entered the town at about 4:45 pm and operated till about 5:40 pm unchallenged; after blocking the Ilorin and Osogbo entrances into the town.

Gov Ahmed made the promise on Friday when he paid the victims a visit at the state General hospital, Ilorin.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Governor had ordered that the victims be relocated to Ilorin from Offa for adequate treatment.

He also ordered the reinforcement of medical experts to Ilorin from other parts of the State so as to give the victims prompt treatment and support.

A 25- year-old man, Tunde Vincent, has been arrested by the Niger State police for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at Madalla village.

Punchng reports that father of five allegedly ambushed his victim and assaulted her in an uncompleted building in the area sometime in January this year when the girl was on her way from an errand.

The suspect revealed that he had been engaging in the act for some time. He said, “I don’t have the appetite to make love to grown-up women.

I prefer little girls to satisfy my sexual urge and enjoy doing that as long as I want it. Each time I stopped, something would push me to do it again.”

London stabbings: 6 teens stabbed in 4 separate knife attacks

Six teenagers were stabbed last night in four separate attacks across London.The city's crime rate is at a seven-year high with police investigating 55 murders since January. The first incident happened in Mile End, east London, just after 6pm, when three teenagers were hospitalised - two of them with serious injuries - after a knife attack in front of horrified witnesses (pictured left, the scene after the attack).

Less than an hour later, a teenage boy was stabbed near East India Dock in Poplar, two miles away (bottom right). By 7pm, a fifth victim, described as a young teenage boy, was stabbed outside HSBC bank on Ealing Broadway in West London (top right). At the same time, across the city in Newham (inset) a 13-year-old boy was stabbed after he was reportedly set upon by a gang of youths. Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent.

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Julius Maada Bio on his election as new President of Sierra Leone.

Bio won the West African nation’s presidential election run-off held on March 31.

IGP Reinstates Kogi Commissioner Of Police, Ali Janga

Mr Ali Janga has been reinstated as the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, the state police command spokesman, ASP William Aya, has confirmed. Aya told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lokoja on Thursday that Janga returned to office on April 3 on the order of the Inspector -General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris.

He said that Janga was reinstated after meeting the one week ultimatum given to him by the Inspector -General of Police to re-arrest the suspects who escaped from police custody. The police spokesman confirmed that all the six suspects that escaped from lawful police custody on March 28 had been re-arrested.
