Obama Imposes New “Unisex” “Girly” Caps On Male Marines

The US Marine Corps is fighting a switch to new “unisex” caps imposed by the Obama administration. According to a report on the NY Post website, the Marine brass “flipped their lids” over Obama’s demand that they choose a more “girly”, less masculine cap — called a cover — and switch to a more feminine looking lid.

“The Marine Corps has zero intention of changing the male cover,” the USMC press office claimed in statement posted to its website, www.marines.mil, Friday.

The press release went on to note that the Obama admin. did not order the new change. But that info conflicts with a “voting form” sent out to all marines to choose “one” new cap for ALL marines — males and females.

DNA tests have confirmed that a 35-year-old Bulgarian Roma woman is the mother of a mysterious girl in Greece known as Maria, authorities said Friday.

Genetic profile of Sasha Ruseva matched that of the girl, said Svetlozar Lazarov, an Interior Ministry official.

Ruseva has said she gave birth to a baby girl four years ago in Greece while working as an olive picker, and gave the child away because she was too poor to care for her.

Maria has been placed in temporary care since last week after authorities raided a Roma settlement in central Greece and later discovered that girl was not the child of the couple she was living were not her parents.

Visa Renewal Without Interview Now Possible – US Consulate-General

The United States Consulate-General in Lagos, yesterday, announced that applicants for visa renewal can do so without an interview.

It has introduced the DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Programme which makes it possible for visa applicants to renew their visas without attending interview.

The announcement, made in Lagos, said: "This programme allows certain visa applicants who have previously been issued U.S. visas to renew their visas without attending an interview".

The Consulate-General explained that to qualify for the DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Programme, visa applicants must be a Nigerian passport holder; the applicant's last visa interview resulted in an issuance; the applicant was issued a two-year B1/B2 United States visa in Lagos or Abuja; the visa expired no more than one year prior to reissuance; the applicant was at least 14 years old at the time of the last issuance or will be under the age of 14 at the time of reissuance; and the applicant has never been arrested nor had an encounter with law enforcement, customs, or immigration officials in the United States.

18 Year Old Girl Gang Raped In Bayelsa Commits Suicide

The Nigerian police in the southern state of Bayelsa has confirmed that an 18-year-old girl committed suicide after a gang rape by three unidentified men.

The Spokesman of the state Police Command, Mr Alex Akhigbe, told newsmen in Yenagoa that the girl killed herself in Amarata, Yenagoa, Local Government Area of Bayelsa, southern Nigeria.

“I believe the deceased decided to hang herself due to the attendant shame and stigmatisation she experienced after the rape incident,” Akhigbe said.

He said that the command had launched investigation into the alleged rape charges filed by the deceased family.

Another Air Crash Averted: Lagos Bound Arik Flight Aborted As Plane Develops ‘Technical Issue’

A Lagos bound Arik Air flight was aborted on Wednesday night in Abuja when the aircraft allegedly developed technical issues and refused to start.

The flight, which was to transport passenger from the local wing of the Abuja airport to the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, was scheduled for 7pm but was delayed till about 8pm.

According to one of the intending travelers, Dominic, who spoke to Channels Television, “the passengers had checked in and were about boarding the aircraft when some people noticed the pilot was having issues in his seat.

“After a few minutes, a member of the Arik team announced to us in front of the airplane that there was a technical issue” and so they would have to wait for another aircraft from Lagos, to ferry them to their destination.

“So we had to wait another 1 hour and a few minutes for the arrival of another plane.”

Woman Caught Getting Intimate With Another Man by Fiance Dies in S*x Romp Few Days After

Policemen attached to the Ogidi Police Division in Idemili North Council Area of Anambra State are battling to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her early 30s during a s*x romp with her boyfriend in Nkpor Uno in the same area .

Daily Sun gathered that the tragedy occurred on Sunday, at Isingwu village, Nkpor Uno, while the deceased and her boyfriend, identified simply as Ikechukwu, were allegedly making love inside their apartment.

The woman was said to have died while her boyfriend was discovered unconscious two days later.

Residents of the area alleged that trouble started when the fiancé of the deceased came home and saw that his wife-to-be was having a relationship with Ikechukwu, a lorry driver. He was said to have warned them to desist from the unholy relationship, but to no avail and he returned to his base before the incident.

A source, who pleaded anonymity, said that Ikechukwu had been having an affair with the deceased even when he knew that she was dating a man whom the source said, was her fiancé and all efforts to stop the relationship proved abortive until death separated them.

PAY ME MY MONEY! - KESHI CRIES OUT TO NFF

Super Eagles’ Head Coach Stephen Keshi on Wednesday described the seven-month salaries being owed him by the Nigeria Football Association as “the lowest point’’ of his coaching career.

Keshi said this in Abuja at the Home-based Super Eagles’ interactive session with the media ahead of the team’s upcoming international friendly with Jordan in Amman.

He spoke in reaction to a statement credited to the NFA that the allowances and bonuses the team’s coaches earn were enough to sustain them. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Keshi is being owed about N35million in salary arrears.

“The lowest point of my career is working and not being paid for seven to eight months. I have never had this kind of experience before,’’ he said.

“In Mali, they will never owe you. Your salary will hit your account before the end of every month. It was the same thing in Togo. “Owing me up to seven months makes me feel I am not being appreciated. It is like they (my employers) think I am being favoured in what I am doing.

“I am not being favoured. Whatever I am doing here, I am doing it with everything I have and I need to be respected to be given my pay,’’ Keshi said.

THISDAY EDITOR FOUND DEAD IN HIS CAR

Thisday Foreign and Diplomatic Editor, Mr. Paul Ohia, was found dead yesterday October 22nd in his official car, a white Kia Optima along Marine Road, Apapa, Lagos.

According to eyewitness reports, the deceased had parked his car for several hours by the side of the road, which aroused the suspicion of passersby, prompting them to move closer to check on him. The eyewitnesses said the deceased had reclined the driver's seat and lay on it as if he was sleeping; until they opened the car doors to find out that he was motionless and lifeless.

The sympathizers who noticed the Thisday sticker on the windshield of the car called Thisday office, informing them of the tragic incident. Thisday staff and the police moved Mr. Ohia to Lagoon Hospital in Apapa where he was confirmed dead.

Although, the hospital said an autopsy would determine the actual cause of death, the medical doctor on duty said the deceased might have died of cardiac arrest. Ohia is survived by a wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

Man In Court For Raping Facebook Lover

The Nigerian police in Lagos on Wednesday arraigned a 34-year-old man, Omowuyi Kelvin, over alleged rape of a 25-year old girl he met on Facebook.

Kelvin, who was charged before an Isheri Magistrates’ Court, lives at Shangisha, a suburb of Lagos.

He is facing a two-count charge of rape and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp Nurudeen Thomas, told the court that the accused committed the offences at 8.00p.m., on 15 October at his residence.

“The accused invited his victim all the way from Benin to Lagos.

“On arrival, the accused unlawfully detained her for five days in a room, had carnal knowledge of her and stripped her of N5,000, among other valuables,” he said.

He said that the offences contravened Sections 285 and 258 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Section 258 provides for life imprisonment for rape, while Section 285 prescribes three years imprisonment for theft.

BREAKING NEWS: Jonathan Sets Up Three-Member Panel To Probe Oduah’s N255 Million Car Scandal

• Stella Oduah was absent at the FEC meeting.

President Goodluck Jonathan has set up a three-man administrative panel to investigate the armoured car scandal involving aviation minister, Stella Oduah.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, stated this while briefing journalists after the weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation.

The three-man panel is to be chaired by the immediate past Head of Service, Sali Bello. Other members include the National Security Adviser Colonel Sambo Dasuki, and Air Vice Marshal Dik Iruenebere.

Mr. Abati also confirmed PREMIUM TIMES earlier report that the president has queried Mrs. Oduah asking her to provide explanations on the controversial purchase.

He said the new panel of enquiry is to investigate whether the procurement of the vehicles for about N255 million followed due process or not. The panel is also to look into the main reasons for procuring the vehicles.

Mr. Abati did not state if the minister would step aside while she is being investigated. Mrs. Oduah was conspicuously absent at Wednesday’s FEC meeting.

The spokesman said the panel has two weeks to conclude its task and would give the President the necessary advise on the matter.

NOLLYWOOD ACTOR MR LATIN'S FORMER PA COMMITS SUICIDE IN USA

Nollywood actor, Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin's former Personal Assistant, Lanre Adedeji has committed suicide in Texas, United States, where he had been living since 2012. 

Lanre settled down in Minnesota, USA, after a tour with Mr Latin and later moved to Texas, where things got better for him and he was able to acquire some exotic cars and lived a good life. 

This however changed this year, when he was said to have started behaving strangely (this was adduced to spiritual attacks), and that all efforts by friends met brick-wall as he didn’t speak with anyone.

Mr Latin was eventually able to speak with and encouraged, when he told him all the happenings around him. Unfortunately, he ended it all by jumping inside a river, and his friends got to know about the situation when his ID card was brought to them. 
Lanre was Mr Latin's PA for about 8 years.

As for the joy of motherhood, I just give thanks to God that I now have what I desired. My desire was to have a boy and a girl. I adore a male child. I am so happy. I remain my humble self. I know myself and nobody knows me more than myself.
