The Ondo State government on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 presented the staff of office to a new monarch for its capital city, the Deji of Akure, Oba Patrick Kole Aladetoyinbo. Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who was represented by his deputy, Lasisi Oluboyo, sent a warm congratulatory message to the people of Akure on the emergence of the new traditional ruler.
The governor while presenting the staff of office, advised the people of Akure to co-operate with the new Deji, noting that the selection process of the monarch was crisis-free and fair.
