Kamiyah Mobley, now 18, (left in main image, and right) was found alive and well in South Carolina on Friday being raised as Alexis Manigo by the woman who allegedly kidnapped her from a Florida hospital when she was a baby. The 51-year-old woman she thought was her mother, Gloria Williams, (inset right and right in main image) has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. 

The teenager took to Facebook to defend Williams on Friday as news of Williams' arrest spread. 'My mother raised me with everything I needed and most of all everything I wanted,' she wrote. The mystery of Kamiyah Mobley became a national sensation when she was taken from her mother Shanara Mobley's (left) arms at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville in July 1998.

Ericka Joseph, 46, was found dead with her 9-year-old daughter, Akili Joseph, in Joseph’s home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Tuesday morning, a police spokeswoman says.

According to authorities, Joseph was divorced from Akili’s father, and though they shared custody of the child, Akili spent the majority of her time with her dad in Bogota, Colombia. She was visiting Florida for the holidays, police said. She was scheduled Tuesday morning to fly back to South America with her father, also a retired Marine.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office has apprehended a gang of internet fraudsters comprising the trio of Davies Ayomide Rapheal, Adeyemi Adewumi Segun and Oyewole Segun who allegedly engage in phony online purchases from designated auction sites. 

The suspects confessed to have accomplices abroad. They were arrested by the operatives of the Commission at different locations following tip-off. 

Rapheal, the arrow head of the gang, prowls on the internet particularly on Craigslist- an online sale and purchase sites, where items ranging from cars and furniture are being displayed for sale.

Baby Girl Who Was Kidnapped From Hospital by A Woman Dressed As A Nurse 18 Years Ago Is Found ALIVE And Living With Her Abductor

A newborn baby (pictured center in a composite created by police) who was kidnapped from a Florida hospital 18 years ago by a woman pretending to be a nurse has been found alive and well in South Carolina.The mystery of Kamiyah Mobley became a national sensation when she was taken from her mother's arms at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville in July 1998. Jacksonville police have since revealed the teen found out on Friday morning that the woman who has raised her in Walterboro is not her mother. Gloria Williams, 51 (pictured left in a mugshot and right in an old sketch created by police) has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and interference with custody.

He said she first had an inclination a couple of months ago that she may have been involved in the national kidnapping case in some way.

Sheriff Williams said the teen only found out on Friday morning that her concerns had been confirmed.

Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, Adeniji Adele Road, Laos Island, have arrested two suspected notorious robbers terrorizing and robbing residents of Ire Akari street, Ejigbo and Isolo areas of Lagos, snatching and vandalizing vehicles in the area for long.

Police identified the suspects as Chinedu Ajogwu, 24 and Uchenna Chukwudi Mbah, 33.

The alleged ring leader simply known as ‘Small’ is said to be at large.
