Men Who Raped co-worker’s Kids Charged, Remanded In Kirikiri Prison

According to Punch Four men who allegedly raped the five-year-old and three-year-old daughters of one of their co-workers, who was homeless, have been charged before an Ikeja Family Court on charges of rape and child defilement.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that the men – John Mahansi, Taiye Ojo (aka Ejima), Deji Adenekan (aka Orobo) and Peter Irobo (aka Apako)- who pleaded not guilty to the offences, were later remanded at the Kirikiri Prisons, pending the mention of their case, which comes up again for hearing on December 14, 2015.

A man has found a 1.5m lizard climbing the outside of his house after he heard it thumping on the wall.

The Daily Mail reports Eric Holland was out in the yard of his Thurgoona property in southern NSW when the fully grown Lace Monitor Lizard came up to him, reared up on its hind legs and stared him down.

The 80-year-old said he fled inside, fearing he could be bitten or scratched by the lizard, which carries a venomous bacteria in its mouth.

Bayelsa Election: Jonathan Battles To Save Face

There are indications that the outcome of today’s governorship election in Bayelsa State may go a long way in determining the future political relevance of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Jonathan, an indigene of Bayelsa State from Ogbia council area was defeated at the last presidential election by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari.

Though Jonathan has lived a relatively quiet life since leaving office, shuttling between his Otuoke country home and Abuja and appearing twice at PDP events, such as the party primary where the incumbent Governor, Seriake Dickson, was affirmed as the party candidate for today’s polls and the mega rally where Dickson was presented the party flag, he is expected to lead some other members of the party from his Otuoke ward to cast their votes.

Raymond Dokpesi Arrested By EFCC Over N2.1Billion Arms Purchase Scandal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arrested the Chairman of Africa Independent Television, Raymond Dokpesi, over the spreading arms purchase scandal involving the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the theft of N2.1billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Mr. Dokpesi was arrested shortly after noon, Nigerian time, and whisked to the EFCC, where he is now being interrogated. 

EFCC sources told SaharaRerporters that on the instructions of the Mr. Dasuki, CBN paid N2.1billion to the AIT chairman.
