The two young sisters who were killed after being hit by the robbers’ bullets in Onitsha in Anambra State last December - have been laid to rest at their hometown in Agulu area of Anambra state.

The girls identified as 11-year-old Vivian Ifeanyinwa Alor and 7-year-old Venus Oyinyechukwu Alor were said to be travelling from Lagos to their village immediately after Christmas to celebrate the festive season with their grandma before they were killed by stray bullets during an armed robbery operation.

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for lack of merit.

Akeredolu had, by the appeal, challenged a July 20017 judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which upheld an order by a Federal High Court in Abuja, granting permission to Olusegun Abraham to serve Akeredolu through substituted means, court documents in relation to the suit he (Abraham) filed.

Raped Chrisland School Child Testifies In Court, Recalls ‘Bad Things’ Done To Her

Child X, the pupil allegedly defiled by Adegboyega Adenekan, a 47-year-old Chrisland School supervisor, on Thursday testified at an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court in Lagos and confirmed that she was abused.

Child X, who is now four-years-old, was two years and 11-months at the time the alleged defilement occurred serially in 2016 at the Victoria Garden City (VGC) branch of the school.

The trial which was slated to begin at 2pm, due to other matters, did not start until 3.26pm. It ended at 5.53pm.

Before Child X’s testimony, Justice Sybil Nwaka, had ordered that members of the public vacate the public gallery of the courtroom. However, she allowed journalists and lawyers to witness the testimony.

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State capital has ordered the remand of a 23-year-old woman, Jimoh Simiat in Ilesa prison custody for allegedly killing her friend.

The Police prosecutor, Inspector Mustapha Tajudeen informed the court that the incident occurred on the 10th of February barely 7:30am around Fountain University area, Osogbo.

$9m Cash Allegedly Discovered In Home Of Ex-amnesty Boss, Boroh

One year after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) discovered a whopping $44.3 million at a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos, the anti-graft agency, in conjunction with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), has allegedly unearthed another $9 million cash at the residence of the sacked Special Adviser on Niger Delta to President Muhammadu Buhari and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig.-Gen. Paul Tarelah Boroh (rtd).

The discovery of the cash was made a few hours after his arrest by a combined team of EFCC and ONSA operatives.
His arrest, which the Head, Media and Publicity of the anti-graft commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujiaren confirmed, in response to THISDAY’s enquiries, took place on Monday.

Nigerian Babcock Graduate Commits Suicide After Killing His Girlfriend In Canada

A 30-year-old Nigerian man identified as "Onoseta Oribhabor", has reportedly killed himself after murdering his 27-year-old girlfriend, Essozinam "Martine" Assali, in Toronto, Canada.

It was gathered that the police were called to a condo building in the north end of the city, on March 6, and found Oribhabor dead on a balcony. After a further search, they found a woman inside a unit with obvious signs of trauma. 

She was treated for injuries, but ultimately died. Oribhabor graduated from Babcock University, Ogun State, before leaving for Canada. Police characterize the case as a murder-suicide.

We reported that a mentally-deranged man who went on a rampage earlier on Monday, attacked and hacked to death the two pupils of St. John’s Anglican School, Agodo in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun state, was apprehended by the Police in Ogun State.
