Ambode Appoints 57 Sole Administrators For LGAs

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday approved the appointment of new sole administrators expected to oversee the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the State.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government, Tunji Bello, Governor Ambode would on Monday swear-in the new appointees at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja.

The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, on Saturday, announced the death of its Technical Director, Shaibu Amodu. The four-time coach of the Super Eagles died in his sleep after complaining of chest pains on Friday night.

Life and it's misery, Shuaub signed Keshi's condolence register when he died, not knowing that he will even be buried before Keshi.

He died, aged 58. Amodu’s death came three days after the death of former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi.

Family, neighbours and other mourners could not hold emotions and tears as they watched the remains of the Technical Director of Nigeria Football Federation and former Super Eagles coach, Shuaibu Amodu, being lowered into the grave.

The event held at the residence of Amodu at Okpella in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State on Saturday evening.

Amodu’s body was brought into his residence in Okpella at about 12:30pm Saturday from the Stella Obasanjo Hospital in Benin.

Police in Brazil have arrested a sex monster accused of ripping a schoolgirl's heart out of her chest after raping and killing her.
Missing Raiana Aparecida Candida, ten, was found dead on a country farm in Buenopolis in the state of Minais Gerais, around 440 miles north of Rio de Janeiro.

Pastor Biodun Alimi, the officiating minister during the funeral programme speaking to the mouners said "But we do not want you to be uninformed brothers about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. Therefore, mourn not, cry not, grieve not; but rather give thanks to God for the life lived."

Supreme Court of Canada Legalizes Sex With Animals

Canada’s highest court has just ruled that some sex acts between humans and animals are legal.
In a quixotic ruling, the country’s high court ruled that a man who was on trial for raping and sexually exploiting his own daughters wasn’t guilty of “bestiality.”

The European Union has extended its ban on importation of dried beans from Nigeria by three years.
Dr Vincent Isegbe, the Coordinating Director, Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), disclosed this Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

It would be recalled that EU banned importation of Nigeria’s dried beans in June 2015 on ground that the produce contains high level of pesticide considered dangerous to human health.
Isegbe, however, lamented that the extension came when the Federal Government and its relevant agencies were working to ensure that the June dateline to lift the ban was met. The director quoted the official journal of the EU, of accusing Nigeria of not doing enough to lift the ban during the period of suspension.

Man Allegedly Stabs His Brother to Death Over Girlfriend

Julius Alagwu, a final year student of Applied Biochemistry at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, was allegedly stabbed to death yesterday, by his elder brother simply identified as Pope, following a heated argument over a girl. Unconfirmed reports have it that the fight was as a result of Julius discovering that Pope was also dating the same girl he, Julius, was dating.

The argument led to a fight in their shared apartment, resulting in Julius allegedly picking up a knife to attack his brother, but Pope overpowered him, took the knife from him and stabbed him in the neck and stomach. His body has since been deposited at Regina Caeli Hospital in Awka.

A Nigerian-born accountant Samuel Kayode, 57, at the centre of a fraud investigation after £4m of a school fund ended up in his personal accounts.

The vast sum of money is missing from the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation Trust in South London.

The 57-year-old part-time pastor was told by the High Court to pay £4.1million back to the Haberdashers’ Aske’s chain of academies more than a year ago.

The school is named after 17th century silk merchant Robert Aske who left much of his wealth to create an educational charity fund run by the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers.

A 27-year-old notorious bank robbery suspect, Ikadoi Isere, alias White Witch, who was arrested recently by operative of the Inspector- General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, stunned Crime Alert during an exclusive interview by disclosing that he was appointed a Special Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, on Oil and Gas matters, prior to his arrest.

A native of Nambe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, the suspect was arrested alongside two others; Daniel Gogo, aka Full-Payment and Ifeanyi Kalu. They were accused of participating in no fewer than 15 bank and bullion van robbery and kidnappings across Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and some South East States.
Police sources disclosed that three Ak47 rifles, a Lar rifle, 360 rounds of live ammunitions, 20 magazines, five dynamites, two pistols, a rifle servicing equipment and three exotic cars, were recovered from the suspects after their hideouts were raided in Bayelsa State.

Suspected murderer, Daramola Tosin

A police corporal attached to the Ekiti Police Division has confessed to shooting dead an inspector and secretly burying his dead body.
