Disturbing Details Outlined In Death Of Girl Found In Garbage Bin

Disturbing new details about the death of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found in a trash can were outlined in court on Friday.

The father and stepmother of 10-year-old Emani Moss faced a judge Friday afternoon. The Gwinnett County parents are charged with the girl's murder.

Eman and Tiffany Moss showed little emotion as they appeared before a Gwinnett County judge for a probable cause hearing. It was their first public appearance since their arrest last weekend. That is when police found the girl's body stuffed in a garbage can. An autopsy revealed she died from prolonged starvation.

Detectives described a series of disturbing details regarding the girl's death during the hearing. Detective Collin Flynn said that Eman Moss came home on Oct. 24 and discovered Emani's body in the bathtub.

Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State, yesterday, declared that the revocation of his land allocation by the Federal Capital Territory Minister will not change his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Although the governor has not yet declared for APC, he has nonetheless made it clear that he does not care if his house at Maitama is demolished.

The governor made his position public at the special dinner organised by the Progressive Governors’ Forum in Abuja, Wednesday.

Kwankwanso, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Sports, Ahmed Gombe, said that the marked house and the extension, which is the subject of controversy, were duly approved by the FCT Minister.

The governor said, however, that he would not lose sleep if the houses were brought down on account of his current political disposition.

Clara Chime, the wife of Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, has accused members of the National Human Rights Commission of accepting a bribe from her husband to write a misleading report about her illegal detention in Government House, Enugu, at her husband’s instruction.
Yesterday, the executive secretary of the commission, Bem Angwe, had visited the Enugu State Government House with other members to investigate the alleged forcible detention of Ms. Chime. The case of Ms. Clara Chime reported detention stirred widespread national and international attention when SaharaReporters and other media reported last week that she had hired a Nigerian attorney, Femi Falana, to file a lawsuit on her behalf to secure her freedom from what she described as forcible confinement and imprisonment in Government House, Enugu.
In the wake of the controversy, Mr. Angwe, a professor, led other members of the human rights body on an investigative trip to Enugu. The commission members reportedly spent more than seven hours interviewing Governor Chime, his wife and others. A source told our correspondent that the commission talked to family members, the governor’s domestic staff, and security aides posted to Government House, Enugu.

INEC Sends Ex-PDP Chair to Supervise Anambra Polls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed a serious doubt on the ability of INEC to organize a free and fair gubernatorial election in the eastern Nigerian state of Anambra on 16 November, going by recent developments.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the top officials whom INEC plans to send to oversee the election are card-carrying members of the PDP, which has compromised their role as unbiased umpires.

It named the Commissioners as Mr. Lawrence Nwuruku, the National Commissioner of INEC in charge of the South-East, and Mrs. Gladys Nwafor, the second INEC Commissioner from the South-East.

The popular Radio/TV Host and Freelance Journalist in Abeokuta Ogun State Akinyemi Olatoye aka Alawiye Federation has lost his younger brother to the cold hands of death.

His late brother Adeolu Olatoye was allegedly stabbed to death by his supposed best friend who he incidentally lived in the same premises with.

 The police in Ogun Adatan Division have arrested a 30-year-old panel beater, Wasiu Yusuf for allegedly stabbing Adeolu Olatoye to death.

His 26-year-old wife Busayo is also being detained by the police as at press time.

We learnt that Adeolu was allegedly killed by Yusuf and his accomplice (who is currently on the run) in their residence in the Oke-Efon area of Abeokuta for allegedly having an affair with his wife.

Adeolu met his death barely two weeks after he had a new born baby. The victim was also said to be making preparations for his mom’s 80th birthday.

What seems like a normal night out for the above young lady and her boyfriend also turned out to be her last.

According to unconfirmed source, she went clubbing with her new boyfriend and after night of drinking a partying
her boyfriend drove her to her grave.

Eyewitness at the club said the pair were drunk when they left the club around 4am. On their way home, Afia’s boyfriend drove into a tree and unfortunately for her, Afia was not wearing seat-belt and somehow came of the widescreen to the street and the moving car run over her head

When police finally came to accident scene, they arrested the guy for drink driving and Afia was pronounced gone.

Nigerian Police Man Caught In A Brutally Rape Act of A 2-yr-old Girl in Nasarawa

A Police Corporal, Anthony Onoja, who is alleged to have r*ped a two-year-old girl at Kabayi area of Mararaba in Nasarawa State, has been dismissed from service. This was contained in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, a Chief Superintendent of Police.
The statement said Onoja was dismissed on September 13, contrary to the reports “of the complacency of the Force in handling the case’.” He said, “Contrary to these false and clearly twisted facts, the Nigeria Police have since September 13, 2013, dismissed Cpl Anthony Onoja. “The ex-policeman, who allegedly r*ped a minor at Kabayi area of Mararaba in Nasarawa State, was charged to a Nasarawa High Court, on September 15, 2013, for the offence of r*pe, under Charge sheet No NSD/77C/2013. “The suspect was dismissed after an in-house administrative disciplinary panel (Orderly Room) indicted him for the disciplinary offences of discreditable conduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.”

The statement said the dismissal of the officer followed a full scale criminal investigation conducted by the Anti-Human Rights Section of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Command in Nasarawa State. “The case diary was subsequently forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Nasarawa State Ministry of Justice, for legal advice. “Based on the advice of the DPP, Anthony Onoja was charged to High Court 3 in Nasarawa State. “The prosecution of the ex-police Cpl is being conducted by the Office of the DPP and is ongoing,” it said.

Five of the former members made the list read to the hearing of the House by the Speaker of House, Hon Monsurat Sunmonu at the Tuesday plenary session.

The former commissioners who are making their return to Ajimobi’ government include Barrister Adebayo Ojo, Dapo Lam-Adesina, Princess Adetutu Akhigbe Adeyemi, Dr. Muiwa Gbadegesin and Zacheus Adelabu while the new nominees are Prof. S. O. A Olaniyan, Princess Olufunke Oworu, Prince Gbade Lana, Faruk Umar Alao and Engineer Deji Akande.
Others are Honourable Adewale Lawrence Olujide and Mr. Abiodun Fatai Atanda.

All the nominees have been directed to appear for screening by 9.00am today, Wednesday, at the House of Assembly, with 40 copies of their credentials.

A 16-year-old girl (name withheld) has been reportedly hospitalised after she was allegedly r*ped to coma by some unknown men in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Vanguard gathered that the incident occurred at 8p.m. on Monday on her way back home from where she was sent on an errand.

Seven years after an unwanted pregnancy forced her to drop out of the University of Ilorin, Aishat Farooq emerges the best graduating student of the Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State, reports Temitayo Famutimi

When Aishat Farooq gained admission into the University of Ilorin at 15, to study Zoology, little did she know that she was not going to be an alumnus of the institution. That was in 2003.

Despite the fact that she was a high flyer in her first two years in UNILORIN, the now 25-year-old indigene of Ilorin West-Local Government Area of Kwara State got distracted along the line. She played the campus love game and got a shocking result: she got pregnant.

It was in 2006 and in her third year. She was pregnant for a fellow student whom she had been dating. She was disappointed in herself and thought the whole world was crashing on her. Yet, she vowed not to terminate the pregnancy.

Although she wanted to continue her studies in the university, she became disillusioned and dropped out at 18. She sought consolation in trading.

But her father, Mr. Shehu Farooq, who believed that his daughter’s academic prowess should not be wasted, was determined to get her back on the academic track.

Today, Aishat has a different story to tell. On Saturday, she stood tall among her peers at the 5th convocation ceremony of Bells University, Ota, Ogun State, where she emerged the overall best graduating student with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.93.

Sat-navs are great for navigating unfamiliar cities and wildernesses, but it can be difficult for drivers to focus on the road when they are trying to read directions on a sat-nav device at the same time.

Now, however, an iPhone app claims to make using a GPS device safer while driving.

The program uses a smartphone as a projection device to beam the projections from its app onto a car's windscreen so that drivers no longer have to look down while they drive.

A major split has hit the Presidency over the decision of President Jonathan to appoint High Chief Rayond Dokpesi as his new Chief of Staff.

Vanguard learnt from competent sources that the President has been confused by close political allies and aides, who have spoken in favour and against the idea of bringing on board the DAAR Communications chief was a member of his kitchen cabinet.

Merely looking at the images within a shrine discovered in Ife, Osun State, is enough to make many become lily-livered. While it was initially thought to be a haven for rituals, arrested suspect has confessed to have employed tricks to hoodwink his victims. OLUWATOYIN MALIK reports the bizarre discovery.

THE Osun State Police Command has made a startling discovery of a shrine at Mosarajo village, along Ifewara road, via Ile-Ife, Osun State, built purposely to swindle undetecting people who are seeking spiritual help from traditional doctors. For those who are not strong hearted, a visit to the shrine would send shivers down their spine while they are likely to have nightmares over and over again because of the scary images and fetish objects found within the premises.

Information gathered by Sunday Tribune revealed that the hideout, built deep into the bush, by one Aliyu Mutairu, a.k.a. Abu Ragbaja an indigene of Inisa town, Osun State, was discovered when a part of his fence collapsed and some of the images were sighted by those who passed by the fenced structure.
