A gang who posed in mobile phone photos with thousands of pounds of criminal money and illegal drugs have been sentenced yesterdcay, 29 October, at Isleworth Crown Court.

They are:

[A] Ahmed Mahomud, 20, (16/05/94) was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment for Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drugs between 18 March to 6 May 2014. His brother;

[B] Yousif Mahomud, 19, (26/04/95) was sentenced to 12 weeks’ imprisonment for being Concerned in the supply of Class B drugs

Louis Henry charged with the murder of Olamide Fasina Nigerian Born British Boy Stabbed To Death In London

Louis Henry, aged 21 (11/3/93) of no fixed address, has today, yesterday, 29 October,  charged with the murder of 25-year-old Olamide Fasina, in Bexley, on Tuesday, 14 October 2014.

He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates Court today , 30 October.

Former Soldier Battered After Disturbing Burglars

A former soldier was brutally attacked on his own doorstep when he disturbed a gang of burglars.

The callous thieves also stole the wedding ring given to him by his late wife and money he had saved up to pay for a trip to Latvia to see his son as well.

Adrian Peter Percival, 59, who is an ex-Royal Fusilier, suffered severe bruising after he was savagely punched, kicked and stamped on outside his home on Trafford Road in Eccles.

It happened at about 10.30pm on 13 September 2014.

He was returning from a night out and as he placed his key in the front door, he was attacked from behind by a masked man. Two other accomplices clad in balaclava then joined in the assault.

A 24-year-old British born Nigerian woman became the latest cosmetic surgery fatality after she died over the weekend following a procedure by a not-exactly-certified Bangkok doctor.The family of the British girl who died while having cut-price plastic surgery in Thailand have revealed that they didn't know she had gone abroad.

Joy Williams, 23, from Thamesmead, was described as a 'caring and funny' girl who was 'loved by everybody.

She died on October 23 after travelling to Bangkok to have £2,000 buttock augmentation surgery.

Speaking yesterday from his home in Lagos, Nigeria, Miss Williams's older brother Anietie, 28, said he had been looking forward to her visiting him in Nigeria this Christmas.

A young woman who lost her leg to cancer had a new knee joint created using her left foot - which was then attached backwards.

Jordon Moody's bone cancer meant her thigh had to be amputated - with her lower leg then moved up in the place of her thigh.

The 22-year-old from Hull, East Yorkshire, now has her foot in the place of her knee, but rotated 180 degrees. 

This leaves her toes twisted backwards and her heel at the front - providing the most natural 'downwards' angle to how a normal knee bends.

She is now waiting to be fitted with a new artificial lower limb, which will be attached to the joint created from her foot.

Osun Election Tribunal: Omisore (PDP) Receives More Valid Votes

The proceeding at Osun election has indicted that the likelihood of Osun state having a new chief executive in the next few weeks is very high.

The tribunal's manual inspection and re-counting of ballot papers used for the election exposed that over one hundred thousand invalid votes were dumped in favour of Governor Aregbesola in almost all the Local authorities in the states.

Majority of these thumb printed ballot papers are from Ekiti state election in favour of Aregbesola (APC), were discovered in local government like Osogbo, Olorunda, Ejigbo, Ede North, Irewole, Ila-Orogun, Irepodun and others Aregbesola (APC) claimed he won.

Tribunal adjourned sitting to 30th of October, 2014 with newly appointed Judges as members. Justice E.N. Ikpejime from Benue State, will serve as chairman, Justice V.I Ofesi from Delta State and Justice Kutigi from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja are members.

January 26, 1788 was the date on which Captain Arthur Phillip took formal possession of the colony of New South Wales and raised the British flag for the first time in Sydney Cove.

In 1838 white people had settled Australia for just 51 years. Pastoralists were pushing into Aboriginal land, dispossessing Indigenous people from the land that nurtured them physically and spiritually.

Aboriginal people did not give up their land that they had looked after for millennia without a fight. White settlers engaged in many clashes with Aboriginal people at the frontier. With the eyes of the law often several days' ride away the settlers had little to fear. Gangs of stockmen went on what was known as 'the Big Bushwhack' or simply 'the Drive': a hunt for Aboriginal people which lasted several months [2]. They thought there was nothing wrong with shooting Aboriginal people or raping Aboriginal women.

The command, which paraded the two dogs at its headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State on Tuesday, added that the dogs had been examined and been found to be disease-free.
The Commissioner of Police, Cornelius Aderanti, said it was important to parade the dogs so that the public would rest assured that the dogs were still in police custody, and had not been released as being rumoured.
He said, “We have brought the dogs out so that the public would know that they are still in police custody. They have been examined and show no negative trait. It is only the court that will decide what happens to them. The police cannot decide to kill the dogs.”
