Linda Ikeji is allegedly battling with officials of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), The Capital NG reports.


According to the publication, “FIRS has slammed [Ms Ikeji] with a N75 million fine and the agency has initiated measures to prosecute her in a court of law.”

A statement issued today by him, reads in part; “I have no financial transaction whatsoever with Dasuki and Sen. Obanikoro either by cash, cheque or electronic transfer. The management of Zenith Bank, which majorly funded my election, called me to a meeting where I was assured that fund will be provided for my election.

I wish to state further that if it becomes evidently clear that those who willingly provided money for my election can no longer stand by what did, may be because of threat from the EFCC, I will not hesitate to name names.

US Deports 41 Nigerians Over Drug, immigration Offences

The deportees, all male, were dumped at the cargo terminal of Murtala Mohammed International Airport after arriving aboard a chartered aircraft with registration number 733 MA operated by Miami Air International, around 1pm today.

While 9 of them were deported for allegedly carrying drugs, 26 were arrested by the US Police while 6 of them were repatriated over expiration of visas. Those repatriated for police and drug related issues were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force and the NDLEA
