Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku who was announced dead while sleeping on Sunday night  came back from dead. The controversial Prophet's death shocked Lagos and speculation this morning was that he had an over dose medicine and that lead to his death. 
Like a proverbial cat with nine lives, the Pastor and estranged spiritual father of popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku is said to have regained life after being certified dead.
Hospital sources revealed that while effort were being made to prepare him for morgue, the man, who has refused to die, awoke and shouted 'Thank You Jesus!'

The Prophet's wife, was yesterday telling sympathisers that “I knew daddy would come back to life again.” But as he lay motionless in death throughout yesterday, they wife was more scared, doubting if the Prophet will awake again or not.

The prophet is still in the hospital, as elders of the church, are insisting that the prophet should be left till Friday, believing that he would have come back fully to life.

This is coming barely 24 hours after Ajanaku's death.

There's luxury, and then there's "damn, that sure is a pointless waste of money."

In a recent example of the latter, the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, considered by some to be the most luxurious hotel on the planet, recently announced that it will be doling out 24-carat gold plated iPads to guests.

Guests at the hotel, which, by the way, stands on a man-made island, will be given said iPads upon check-in. From there, their goldly minted tablets will serve as a virtual concierge of sorts, allowing them to access pertinent hotel information. I would hope that the hotel, given its luxurious nature, would also extend its penchant for luxury to software. In other words, hopefully the iPad isn't merely a tablet to view the hotel's website. It would be nice if guests could use the device to schedule spa appointments, order from the hotel menu, etc.

Father whose three-year-old son accidentally shot himself dead goes on Facebook to defend guns HOURS later

The father of a three-year-old boy who accidentally shot himself in the head with a loaded 40 caliber Smith and Wesson backed the right to bear arms hours after losing his son on Sunday.

Brian Holbrook, of Michigan, said: 'I have nothing wrong with guns, I will still support the Second Amendment' [sic]

He made his comments on his Faceboook page hours after his son shot himself in the head after finding a loaded gun at his home, which was owned by Joshua Michael Greenhill, 30.

OPC Member Kills Socialite During Gun Salute

The police have commenced  investigations into the murder of a 72-year-old man, Alhaji Abdulkareem Kadiru, in Ijora Badia area of Lagos State.

According to the police, the victim was killed in error by an Oodua Peoples Congress member, Ismaila Rahmon, who was in charge of security at a school where a Ramadan event took place.

Rahman allegedly killed the Alhaji with a gun he seized from an armed robber but failed to turn it over to the police.

sources said that on August 4, 2013, Rahmon and another OPC member, identified simply as Obasanjo, had gone to provide security for the victim and other dignitaries at the event.

It was gathered that Kadiru was a generous man and because of his nature, touts usually surrounded him and sang his praises so that he would give them money

Rahmon was said to have opened fire in a bid to disperse the touts.

In a touching display of motherly love, Desiree Waddell abandoned her seat and stood between her twin daughters Khadijah and Khertima Taylor’s caskets, singing to them for the last time at their funeral.

Smiling as she lovingly stroked photographs of her girls that were airbrushed onto their caskets, Waddell sang praises to Jesus Christ as mourners paid their last respects to the twins during their funeral service at the Revival Time Assembly Church, San Fernando.

 

Waddell was sitting next to the girls’ father, Edwin Taylor, when she seemed to be moved by the music and overcome with love for her 18-year-old twin daughters. She went to the girls’ caskets, which were airbrushed in their favourite colours—pink and purple—and sang. The twins’ brother, Dmitri, curled up and laid his head in his mother’s lap and cried himself to sleep. 

It was one of the many emotional moments at the funeral for the Marabella twins, both of whom were killed, along with their friend Kafiya Gill, on Sunday when the car they were in crashed at Cross Crossing, San Fernando.

I thank God for how far He has brought me. I have made every effort to get to the top as a footballer but there is no support from anywhere, even the Nigeria Football Federation. I am just trying on my own to get to the top but it hasn’t been easy. You go for trials and you do well and you are recruited but after sometime, they will start acting funny; they use my past against me. I try to ensure that I don’t let clubs know who I am.  I don’t like telling them that I am the former Iyabo Abade; I have to go there like every other normal player and fight for a place in the team. But when they hear that former Iyabo Abade has signed for either Crown FC or Plateau United, they start discriminating against me. Meanwhile I got there as James Johnson but they keep asking, “Can she cope in the midst of guys?” They have forgotten that I am a man and I met their requirements before they signed me up. Once they now know my past, they won’t allow me to play anymore. Were they blind when they signed me? With that, I feel frustrated and discriminated against so I decided that there was no need disturbing myself and I decided to quit. I am praying that God helps me so that I can continue my career abroad. I think things will be better over there.

Dead Man Wakes Up …After Three Days In Mortuary

Retired soldier, Kayode Sotunde, 49, had plans for better living when he undertook a journey from Gboko to Kano on April 11, this year, but he did not make it to Kano alive.The commercial bus conveying the ex-soldier crashed on the way, claiming him and 17 others.

But the saying, 'old soldier never dies' appears to have played out with Sotunde as he woke up three days after in the mortuary, where his body and others were deposited for their families to claim for burial.

According to Sotunde,his corpse was taken out of the mortuary and was being prepared for burial when he suddenly woke up.

Sotunde narrated his experience to Sunday Sun in Abeokuta, Ogun State: ''I am a living witness to the fact that God exists. You may not believe me, just like I may not have believed it if it did not happen to me. I died in an accident along with 17 others, but resurrected three days after in the mortuary."

A month later, Open Doors workers visited his widow, Mercy, at her home in Maiduguri. The widow and mother of four warmly received the visitors into her house.

When she sat down to speak to Open Doors workers, she burst into tears. "True friendship is what I am seeing today," she said. "How did you manage to come to Maiduguri at this dangerous time when people are vacating the city? You are most welcome here in Jesus' name. I am so happy to see you again."

The events of the evening of May 14 will never be forgotten. Musa, Mercy and some of their children were home. While Mercy was preparing supper, Zion, a daughter who was sitting outside, noticed three armed men jumping the fence. She ran into the living room to alert her father. Musa glanced through the window and saw the intruders by the front door. The next moment the men forced their way into the house, shouting, "Everybody on the floor!"

California Pastor Charged for Reading Bible in Public Goes to Trial [Photos]

A pastor who was arrested for reading the Bible to the public in California has been found not guilty by a judge.

Superior Court Judge, Timothy Freer ruled that the prosecution’s case against Pastor Brett Coronado and Mark Mackey failed to prove the law had been broken.

Pastor Coronado and Mr Mackey were outside a local Government car registration centre in February 2011, when a California Highway Patrol officer took Mr Mackey’s Bible away and arrested him.

Later, Pastor Coronado was also arrested and a non-profit religious liberty law firm Advocates for Faith and Freedom took on their case.

The Police said the group was preaching to a captive audience and were trespassing because they needed a proper permit to protest or demonstrate.

The men faced penalties of up to 90 days in jail and a $400 fine.

The drama unfolded in Sale, Greater Manchester, when a man carrying cash into a bank was approached by two suspects wearing balaclavas.
