Fuji crooner King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall and baby mama Titi Masha have held a christening party for Titi’s new baby, which happens to be Titi’s 2nd and Kwam 1′s 38th.

The party, which held in Chicago was the third so far for the couple.

Bullets pierced Tayo’s thigh inflicting grave injuries to his groin and left arm.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has registered two new political parties in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as Amended) and the Electoral Act 2010 (as Amended).

The newly registered parties are the Independent Democrats (ID) and the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM).

The Constitution, Manifesto, Logo/Flag and list of National Executive Officers of each party have also been approved by the Commission.

New Naira Notes To Be Out By September Ending

The Central Bank of Nigeria has disclosed it would take delivery of new naira notes before the end of September. Deputy Governor, Operations, Dr Tunde Lemo, who revealed this in Abuja, stated that the public would get a large quantity of the new notes to replace the old and mutilated notes.

The apex bank had earlier said that new naira notes would be in circulation by June, and that the smaller denomination notes (N5, N10, N20, and N50) would be reprinted on paper.
“We are going to take delivery of the new notes from this month of August. We will take delivery of the new notes before the end of September. The public will get a large quantity of the new notes to replace the old and mutilated notes, particularly the higher denomination notes in the first instance, then later the lower denominations,’’ he said.

Aluu 4: Dog Was Used To Torture Victims – Policeman

Suspects in the murder of The UNIPORT FOUR at the Rivers State High Court,Port Harcourt, yesterday. 

 A police officer, Mr. Raphael Ezechi, told a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, at the resumed hearing in the killings of four University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT, students in October 2012 in Omuokiri, Aluu community, that a dog was used to torture the students before they were set on fire.

Mr. Ezechi of the State Criminal Investigative Department and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, led in evidence by the Solicitor-General of Rivers, Mr. Rufus Godwins, narrated that “a team of policemen from Isiokpo Division was dispatched to the scene of the incident to rescue the students but due to the distance, the students were set ablaze before the arrival of the police.”

Tinsel: Chris Attoh Leaves, Gbenro Ajibade Allegedly Suspended

Popular M-Net-produced series Tinsel has suffered a setback as one of her main actors Chris Attoh who plays ‘Kwame Mensah’ suddenly announced he is leaving the series to pursue other career interests.

Chris dropped the bombshell via a statement through a South Africa based management, Waka Talent. 'The last seven years on Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. A number of women and girls at risk of forced marriage have avoided going abroad by concealing spoons in their underwear at airport security, according to a campaign group.

Karma Nirvana, a Derby-based charity that supports victims of forced marriage, advises people who ring its helpline to hide a spoon in order to set off metal detectors at British airports. The group says that its recommendation has prevented some women from being spirited overseas.

Last week ministers warned that young people were at the highest risk of being taken abroad for a forced marriage during the school holidays. The government's forced marriage unit received 400 reports between June and August last year, out of an annual total of 1,500.

But the handpicked teenagers and their two dedicated leaders were barred from Britain.

The group was gutted. "We are not happy at all," Arastus Mbamoh, national secretary of the Boys' Brigade in Nigeria, told me. "It is very annoying and highly disappointing for everyone." They were not alone –43 other delegates were barred from the international gathering this weekend at Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. With depressing inevitability all were from Africa; only eight applicants from the continent were allowed to join the festivities.

This is the flip side of our toxic immigration debate, with those vile "go home" posters and racist talk of bongo bongo land. Each day, thousands of Africans are turned away from Britain, wrecking carefully laid plans to trade, visit relatives, attend conferences, see the sights or simply enjoy some shopping.
