Faleke’s choice was regarded a round peg in a round hole which was applauded by many especially leaders of the party at all levels.

He has emerged as one of the younger elements of committed party members thus an integral member of the engine room of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The death of Prince Audu Abubakar, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the ongoing governorship election in Nigeria’s Kogi state, has begun to draw constitutional questions.
Abubakar died shortly after the election, which he was leading. The election was however declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to results declared by the Returning Officer, Emmanuel Kucha (Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi), Audu scored 240,867 while Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party garnered 199,514 votes.

Abubakar Audu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC) in yesterday's election in Kogi State, died as early as 5 a.m. Nigerian time on Sunday and INEC official knew about his death before declaring the election inconclusive.

According to family sources, Mr. Audu started vomiting blood on Friday night in what family sources described as a bizarre deterioration in his health condition. One of the family sources described the late controversial politician as hypertensive.

 "He started vomiting blood after he returned from Lokoja," said the family source who
witnessed Mr. Audu’s deterioration.

Abubakar Audu, a former governor of Kogi State from 1999 to 2003, has been nominated to run for governor again under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in November.

The APC campaign slogan is “change” and the president and their national leader Muhammadu Buhari has been posturing as an anti-corruption campaigner.

A deranged woman slit a heavily pregnant mother's throat and cut her unborn baby out of her womb in a sick attempt to pass the child off as her own, police say.
