Hundreds Of Londoners Gather For Poignant Minute's Silence At London Bridge Vigil For Victims Of Terror Attack

Sadiq Khan has led a vigil of hundreds of Londoners (pictured inset) in remembering those who died following Saturday night's terror attack in the capital. The Mayor of London was joined by senior officers from the Metropolitan 

Police, as well as paramedics and fire crews, for an emotional service in Potters Field Park, near City Hall (shown main). The Archbishop of Canterbury was also on hand to pay his respects to the victims of the attack, in which seven were killed and almost 50 were injured. The evening vigil came after thousands of commuters and workers stopped near the scene of the attack in London Bridge and Borough market to lay flowers and stand in solemn silence earlier in the day.

Passengers Stranded As Bridge Collapses After Heavy Downpour (Photos)

Many passengers were left stranded after a bridge that links passengers from Niger state to Lagos state collapsed after a heavy downpour. The collapsed portion of the bridge is at Gidan Mai Village, along Mokwa-Makera highway in Niger state.

Gov Ambode Suspends NURTW Activities in Oshodi Over Recent Violent Attacks That Led To The Death Of Rasaq Bello 'Hamburger'

Following the violence that led to the death of a leader of Motorcycle Operators’ Association of Lagos State (MOALS) in Oshodi, Rasaq Bello popularly known as Hamburger, the Lagos state Government today suspended activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in all the seven branches in the area indefinitely.

The affected branches are LOB A, LOB D, LOB J, Oshodi A, Oshodi B, Oshodi C and Oshodi D.

The State Government, in a press conference jointly addressed by officials of the State, the police and NURTW at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, said while the suspension order lasts, there would be no collection of tickets/fees from commuter buses operating in the area.

'Dammy Krane Did Not Pay His Jet Fees' – US-Based Aunt

Aunt to the arrested Nigerian musical act Danny Krane has said that the artiste did not pay his flight fees himself.

The singer was nabbed for using a stolen credit card to board a private jet.

The crime is said to be listed as ”Grand Theft 3rd Degree/Armed/Conspiracy/Credit Card Forgery/Intent to Defraud.”

APC Sweeps All Benue Chairmanship And Councillorship Seats In 23 local Local Government

The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) announced on Sunday that the All Progressive Congress (APC), had won all the 23 local government chairmanship seats in the elections held on Saturday.

It also announced that the party won all the councillorship positions, with some of the candidates returned unopposed.

BSIEC chairman John Tsuwa who declared the results in Makurdi, however, declined to release details of votes scored by the candidates.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it arrested a 54-year old single mother of four at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos with cocaine.

The Alhaja-to-be, identified as Owolabi Oluwayemisi Modinat, was going on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia with substances that tested positive for cocaine.

The suspect who hails from Kwara State was apprehended during the outward screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight to Saudi Arabia.

The private jet company TapJets that reported singer Dammy Krane has revealed how the 24 year old star fell into their trap yesterday.


Speaking to some news men, TapJet reveals that although they are not proud to have had Krane arrested, it was their duty to protect other companies from the fraud that would likely continue.


Explaining how they had Dammy Krane and his accomplice arrested, the Jet company stated that Dammy Krane had the Jet App on his Samsung Galaxy S7 with which he made the bookings, and he continued to use different cards for the transaction until he used up to five.
