Image result for 2019: Inside Pdp Plans To Topple APC

The acrimony in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last two years, occasioned by the protracted leadership tussle between Senators Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff had, to a great extent, compelled many optimists and die-hard supporters of the party to give up. However, the recent Supreme Court judgment did not only rekindle hope in the PDP, but gave its handlers the confidence to write-off the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) long before the 2019 election year.

Leaders of the PDP have in the last few days rolled out plans that would help them win in 2019 as evidenced in the confidence they exuded shortly after the Supreme Court judgment that settled their protracted crisis.

Killer earthquake and tsunami hits Greece and Turkey
Huge crowds were seen outside Kos International Airport as holidaymakers attempted to leave the Greek island with many resorting to lying on the ground with their luggage outside the terminal (main). Tens of thousands were forced to sleep outdoors after being woken by the powerful 6.7 tremor which struck off the Turkish coast at 1.30am.

Two people were killed in Kos and hundreds more injured in the quake, which triggered a tsunami that hit tourist resorts in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas and damaged buildings (bottom right). Holidaymakers fled hotels in terror and some even jumped from balconies as the quake hit before running for their lives to higher ground as tsunami waves surged through beachfront resorts moments later, flooding bars and restaurants, carrying away cars and depositing boats in town streets. Olu wrote this inspiring story on his wall;

20 years ago, the only thing I had was a dream. Though I had beautiful dreams, the physical resources to meet my heart desires were beyond my reach. I was homeless, worked as a motor boy or bus conductor (Nigerians will understand this)…. Despite all these challenges, I dedicated at least 2 hours each day to develop myself. I was told several times to quit trying. I was told to stop dreaming….

To keep the story short, in 2006 I had my first degree and I graduated top in my class. In 2010, an MSc; in 2011, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge; in 2016, a PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University Australia.

This is the moment a furious wife gets revenge on her ‘husband’s mistress’ by marching her through the streets naked.

The woman asked her mother and auntie to join her when she followed the man to a small rented flat he was using to romp with his ‘little third’ girlfriend – a Chinese term for a mistress. She reportedly became suspicious when her husband would disappear once a week for several hours without contacting her.

The Chinese woman is seen forcing her ‘younger love rival’ to parade around in public wearing only her bra and a handbag, after allegedly finding her in bed with her other half. Held by her hair, the young woman is pushed along nude in front of crowds of onlookers.

FIVE More Years Of EU Migration: Cabinet Remainers' Victory After Agreeing 'Soft-Landing' That Will Delay Britain Getting Its Borders Back

Image result for Brexiteer
Pro-Remain ministers including Philip Hammond and Amber Rudd have scored a victory after persuading their Brexiteer colleagues to agree to a 'transition' period to phase in new legislation after the UK officially leaves the EU. That will likely mean submitting to European laws such as open borders, which could last until 2022. But in return they are understood to have accepted the need to leave the single market and customs union, an inside source said. The consensus brings to an end a week of in-fighting among the Cabinet after Theresa May put her foot down.

The Cabinet has agreed to pursue a 'soft-landing' transition from the EU that could see free movement continue in all but name until 2022.
A senior government source told the Daily Mail that Remainers had declared victory in their battle for a lengthy transition period, despite fears it will slow the process of taking back control of Britain's borders.
The source claimed leading Brexiteers such as Liam Fox, Boris Johnson and Michael Gove have now signed up to the idea of a substantial 'implementation phase' after the UK leaves in 2019, in order to give business and government time to adjust to departure from the EU.

Now That Nigeria Is Planning To Start Collecting Tax From Beggars, What’s Next?

Image result for beggars in ebute metta kano street lagos

In an attempt to raise much-needed funds, the Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has come up with the most ludicrous suggestions of all time: she plans to tax even beggars on their ‘earnings’. She made this perfectly clear at a news conference in Lagos recently.
May I remind the Honourable Minister that ‘begging’ is not actually an occupation but rather a means to survive in times of harsh economic times. Nobody wants to go on the streets and beg for alms – for some, it’s a necessity; the alms they receive from charitable people enables them to survive. Yes, there are some professional beggars but not all of them are.
