Dancehall Superstar Vybz Kartel Cries In Court After Being Sentenced To 35 Years In Prison


A dark cloud is now over the entire ‘Gaza’ community, worldwide, as popular Jamaican Dancehall DJ  and three co-accused were found guilty of murder in the Home Circuit court today, Thursday, March 13.
For the very first time, the entertainer was sighted with tears (dripping under his shades) with a disgruntled face.
Chaos erupted outside the Supreme Court building on King Street in downtown, Kingston today as hundreds of Vybz Kartel supporters broke through police barricades.

Allegations are circulating that fans are planning a mass demonstration in support of their shepherd, while the police are beefing up security for the mass vandalism and destruction which is expected.
Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, was yesterday sentenced to 35 years in a Jamaican prison. The sentence also includes hard labour.

Kartel is regarded as Jamaica’s most talented artiste of the modern era given the number of hits he churns out. He has over 200 Caribbean number one singles. His latest tracks ‘Mamacita’ and ‘Hi’ have been receiving huge airplay all over the world including here in the 254.

According to Jamaica’s showbiz news channel Urban Connect, which was exclusively covering the trial, the popular singer who is affectionately called World’Boss or ‘The Teacher’ by his fans, shed tears as Home Circuit court as Judge Justice Lennox Campbell handed down the 35 Year sentence.
“Uno caa get weh wid dis, God nah sleep, A same way dem sentence buju innocent,” fans uttered.
The police told supporters to disperse from the area but fans ignored this order; they have been supporting him since his arrest and will remain supporting him till the final nail is driven in his coffin.
“Boy mi sorry fi him, still Gaza mi seh,” an elderly woman lamented with tears flowing down her cheeks.

Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams was allegedly killed over a missing gun belonging to Kartel.
