The General Election campaign for the Tory party got off to an interesting start this morning.
First up was a tour of Heck’s Farm Cider Farm, in Somerset, with the prime minister, the chancellor and owner Chris Hecks.
What a great photo opportunity.

George Osborne was certainly thrilled with the visit, tweeting:
But, hang on a moment what is that?

Social media hawks were quickly on the case, lampooning the chancellor for his unfortunate hand placement.
Another said: ‘George Osborne, just hanging out, having a drink’
Oh George.

A spokesperson for the picture agency Western Daily Press has since apologised to Mr Osborne for the angle of the picture. A spokesperson said:
Sharp-eyed media observers spotted something about this photograph of George Osborne that eluded Western Daily Press’ proof-readers.The Chancellor’s right finger was lingering in an unfortunate – and innuendo-laden – position when he was pictured at Hecks Cider in Street, Somerset yesterday.Sorry Mr Osborne, this was one deficit we didn’t mean to expose.
