Happy New Year! Stunning Bursts Of Colour Across Asia As Revellers Usher In 2016 Around The Globe With Fireworks Displays

Pyrotechnics cascaded from the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan and similarly impressive explosives were witnessed in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. People in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and China have also already rung in the New Year as they say farewell to 2015. 
In China revellers put hundreds of lanterns in a river in Zhouzhuang (bottom right), while others in Bangkok (top left) lit candles as they prayed with Buddhist monks.

Meanwhile in Dubai (top right) a massive fireworks display kicked off 2016 at the world's tallest tower, while plumes of smoke billowed from a fire at a nearby tower. And in Myanmar (bottom left) fireworks were seen near the landmark Shwedagon pagoda during the 2016 countdown at Kandawgyi Park in Yangon.
