Just one day after saying farewell to her husband, Céline Dion and her family mourned her older brother Daniel (inset) Saturday in Canada. The family held a visitation at Salon Charles Rajotte, a funeral home in Repentigny, which is located outside of Montreal, for Daniel who died last week of cancer at age 59.
His tragic death came just two days after the singer's husband Angélil also died after battling the disease for years. He was in the hospital in Céline's native Montreal and surrounded by his family, including 88-year-old mother Therese when he died.
'They're close, she's close with all of her siblings,' a source told the Montreal Gazette. 'It's hard.'
'His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhémar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne Québec,' Daniel's obituary reads.
'For those wishing to send flowers, a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated.'
