
Novak Djokovic was sensationally knocked out of Wimbledon, falling to American giant Sam Querrey in a rain interrupted third round. The big-serving Californian held his nerve in a fourth set tiebreak to clinch it 7-5 when the runaway world No 1 hit a forehand wide when facing a second match point at 6-5 down. Resuming at two sets down, it had appeared that the Serb was going to fight his way out of it as he has done so often in the past, but was bundled out 7-6 6-1 3-6 7-6.
