EFCC Opposes Omisore’s Bail, says He Got ‘hundreds Of Millions’ From Dasuki

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, adduced reasons why the former Deputy Governor in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has remained in its custody.

While opposing a bail request Omisore filed before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory at Maitama, the anti-graft agency, said its investigations revealed that the detained erstwhile governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, received huge sums of money from the former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki, retd.

EFCC said it had yet to uncover what the funds which it said was transferred in hundreds of millions to Omisore was used for.

It said the applicant had no justification for the money he received from the former NSA.

The Commission stated this after Omisore, through his lead counsel, Chief Chris Uche, SAN, begged Justice Olukayode Adeniyi to order his immediate release from detention.
