A woman is lucky to be alive after her gateman conspired with criminals to attack her and her kids when her husband was away on business.

Ifeoma Ibeneme Nwokeoma explained that she had gone out with her kids. When they got home, as she drove into the compound and got out of the car, three armed men with cutlasses attacked them, forced them into the house and started torturing her as they forced her to produce 30 million Naira.

She said each time she told them she didn't have the money, they cut her with the cutlass. She added that they also asked for her PIN and tried to make transfers from her mobile bank app.

Male and Female Traffic Robbers Caught In Anambra state.


According to reports, the Anambra state police command have arrested two ”one chance” robbery suspects and their female accomplices.

A statement from the command says the suspects were arrested after their failed attempt to rob a 30-year-old woman, Nwanye Philomina of her N400, 000 on Tuesday July 30th.

Tragedy struck, yesterday, in Diamond Estate, Sango-Tedo area of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, after a female lawyer, Mrs Udeme Odibi, allegedly stabbed her husband to death in their apartment. As at the time the corpse was found, the deceased’s manhood was severed and placed on his right hand and his stomach ripped open with the intestines spilling out. Information at Vanguard’s disposal revealed that the couple got married three years ago but had no child. However, residents said that the deceased could have had a premonition of his death, as he had confided in his mother and some friends two days ago of a threat to his life by his wife.

The scale of the illegal immigration crisis is laid bare today as figures reveal at least 27,000 migrants have been arrested in the past four years after sneaking into the UK.

A total 28 police forces from the Met in London to Gwent in Wales, Thames Valley and North Yorkshire, have picked up migrants without “leave to enter”.

Supreme Court Delists Lagos Lawyer Ugwuonye From Legal Practitioners’ Roll

The Supreme Court has struck out the name of Lagos lawyer, Emeka Ephraim Ugwuonye, also known as due process, from the legal practitioner’s role.

The apex court’s decision to delist the lawyer was conveyed to him in a letter dated 24 April 2018 signed by Mrs Gertrude B Bari-Nyana on behalf of the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.

The letter with (Ref No. 197/SCN/LIT/100118) was titled: “Re-BB/LPDC/217/16 Nigerian Bar Association V. Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye”.

Man Hires Assassins To Kill Ex-Wife In Lagos


A jilted man, Abiodun Atinuke, has been arrested and charged before Ijeshatedo Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos State, western Nigeria, for allegedly hiring assassins to kill his ex-wife. The 34-year old suspect allegedly hired three men now at large and paid them an undisclosed amount of money to assassinate his ex-wife Eniola for dumping him for another man six months after their marriage.
The 34 year old Atinuke related his story of disappointment which pushed him into doing what he did.

#BringBackOurGirls: More countries Join US, UK, France,China,Canada to Rescue Abducted Girls

The build-up of an international coalition ready to assist Nigeria in locating and rescuing the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram terrorists three weeks ago got a boost, yesterday, as France and China and Canada joined the United States and the United Kingdom in the search and rescue operation.

Both the US and the UK had earlier given their word to President Goodluck Jonathan to assist Nigeria.

The abduction of the girls had triggered series of protests across Nigeria and in some other countries, with protesters demanding that world leaders should take drastic actions to rescue the girls. The Twitter hash-tag,‘#BringBackOurGirls’, put together to push the rescue of the girls, is trending globally, with prominent world leaders lending their voice and support to the demand for their freedom.

16 Men and 1 Woman have been arrested in raids as part of an operation to crackdown on drug dealing in Oldham.
They were arrested when officers from Greater Manchester Police raided 14 addresses just after 6am today, Wednesday 30 April 2014.
Officers from Oldham’s Operation Caminada Organised Crime Unit launched the operation, codenamed Operation Alamos, as their response to community concerns that street drug dealing was a problem in the area.
This operation forms part of Operation Challenger, which is the Force’s strategy for tackling organised crime groups across Greater Manchester.
These arrests came after months of investigations by officers from the Oldham Organised Crime Unit into the distribution of heroin.

Bring Back Our Girls: Why the World Is Finally Talking About Nigeria's Kidnapped Girls


The girls were relaxing in their dorms at the Government Girls Secondary School in the northern Nigerian town of Chibok when gunmen arrived in trucks, cars and on motorcycles.
There were dozens of them — suspected jihadis with the Boko Haram Islamic group — and they were heavily armed. After shooting the guards, and setting fire to houses, the terrorists kidnapped nearly 300 of the girls and drove off into the woods.
That was on April 15. The girls haven't been heard from since.

An attack by a suicide bomber operating in a pickup vehicle laden with IEDs was this morning foiled in Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital.
The target of the attack was ‘A’ Division of Police Command situated by the main round-about in the heart of the town.
The attempt was however foiled as the culprit was arrested by the police personnel on duty.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran Support the ‘Bring Back Our Girls’ Movement

Incarcerated singer Chris Brown and his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran are among the celebrities who have joined forces to bring attention to the 234 missing Nigerian schoolgirls who were kidnapped by militants 2 weeks ago.
Someone updated Brown’s official Twitter account today with this haunting image of a young Nigerian girl in tears. The caption reads “#Bring Back Our Girls.”

So far neither President Barack Obama or talk show titan Oprah have spoken publicly about the kidnapping. Ironically, Oprah used her own personal funds to build a school for girls in South Africa. But nowadays Oprah’s name is in the headlines as one of 10 wealthy blacks who have shown an interest in purchasing the LA Clippers NBA team — despite the fact that the current owner, Donald Sterling, has no plans to sell his franchise to anyone.

29-Year-Old Man Kills Daughter Over Plate Of Rice

THE police in Rivers State have arrested a 29-year-old man, Kingsley Ekerete, who killed his seven-year-old daughter over a plate of boiled rice in Obimama, Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
Kingsley Ekerete, 29, a commercial driver who hails from Nto Osung community in Ikot Ekpene Local Area of Akwa Ibom State, holds just a First Leaving Certificate and has to drive his bus daily through the bustling traffic of Port Harcourt to make ends meet and put food on the table for his young family.
Judging from his looks, no one would have taken him for a murderer or imagined that he is capable of killing his own child.

B/Haram Takes Abducted Borno School Girls To Chad & Cameroon And Allegedly Marries Them Off for N2,000 Each


The over 200 Chibok, Borno State school girls abducted by Boko Haram, have allegedly been moved out of Nigeria by the terrorists.
According to several news sources, including Daily Trust, most of the girls were reportedly taken to Chad and Cameroon, where they have been married off to sect members for a bride price of N2,000 each.
We will bring you updates as they unfold.
The female students were taken from their hostels at the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok on the night of April 14.
About 40 had escaped in the days after the incident, but parents and school authorities said at least 234 of them were yet to be found.

This woman who has six daughters but felt the desperate need to have a son decided to go and purchase one. Well, you cant have “baby factories” for nothing. Anne  Soronnade aged 50 years who confessed to buying a day-old baby boy for N600,000  from one Mrs. Martina Obioha is now in the custody of the Imo State Police Command in Nigeria.
The mother of the traded child is Blessing Ezigbo, who was reportedly kicked out by her parents when they found out that she was pregnant. Ezigbo later met one Madam Nnenna, who sheltered and cared for her until she delivered her baby boy. However, Nnnena then turned around and charged the nursing mother the sum of N30,000 for her hospitality. Being penniless, Ezigbo returned to her family to raise the cash while her baby was seized by our not-so-good Samaritan. But on  Ezigbo’s return, Nnenna had sold the baby to Mrs Obioha who operates an underground maternity clinic. Obioha eventually sold on the child to Soronnade who had previously put down a deposit pending availability of the highly valued baby boy.

Women Arise, a non governmental organisation has called for the arrest of an Ogun State All Progressives Congress chieftain, Mr. Bayo Awosanya, who last Sunday was reported to have assaulted his wife- to- be, Ms. Victoria Awosanya at their Sagamu residence; Punch reports.
In a petition to the Inspector General of Police, President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, said Bayo was in the habit of assaulting Victoria, whom he had accused of not joining him at a social event. A report of the incident was said to have been lodged at the Sagamu Police Division.

EFCC Arrests 4 Undergraduates, 3 Others For Internet Scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested four undergraduates and three others for alleged involvement in Internet scam.
They were arrested in two different locations in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The undergraduates are: Otuyalo Damilola, a 400 level student of Computer Science of Lead City University, Ibadan; Adegbuyi Michael, an undergraduate of University of Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia; Ibrahim Aruna, a student of Mineral Resources Engineering, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and Adeosun Matthew, a 200 level student of Banking and Finance, University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Others are Afolabi Ayodele, Balogun Olumuyiwa and Abiola Okunola.
