The singer picked up a record contract worth over £3million.
The road worker from Belton, Missouri was mentored by LA Reid who is leaving the show during the second series of the singing competition.
He said: “This is the best day of my life.”
And added: "First and foremost I've got to thank the man upstairs for taking care of me.
"My family, all the country music fans, God bless you and thank-you so very much for all the votes. This is the best day of my life."
He posed for snaps with show boss Simon Cowell, wearing a Stetson hat and a leather jacket.
