Beautiful Nubia - Ikoko Akufo Musical Video for Tunde Kelani Movie, The Narrow Path

Beautiful Nubia is not an ordinary musician. The scientist turned musician comes with extraordinary mix of folklore, highlife, storytelling and poetry mixed with performance. Our paths had crossed a few years ago when I was in pre-production of 'The Narrow Path' which we adapted from 'The Virgin' written by Bayo Adebowale. It was the only time I'd commission a theme music before production of a new film. Surprisingly, Beautiful Nubia's 'Ikoko Akufo' successfully pre-visualised the setting and the mood providing the inspiration for me to embark on the project. By Tunde Kilani
