Man Pleads Guilty To Suffocating Girlfriend In Car Wreck After She Survived Intentional Car Crash

A man wanted his 17-year-old girlfriend dead, and he tried to make it look like an accident.

Now, Benjamin Klinger of Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to charges of killing his girlfriend after she survived the car crash.

Klinger deliberately crashed into a guardrail to kill Samantha Heller. He was accused of driving over 100 miles per hour in Lancaster, when he crashed into a guardrail.

Authorities said that Klinger was physically and verbally abusive to Samantha Heller, during their turbulent relationship.

According to police, Klinger smashed into the guardrail at high speed in order to kill his 17-year-old girlfriend and make it look as if it was an accident.

However, an autopsy proved that she died of asphyxiation. Police said that Klinger sat on Heller after she survived the wreck, choking her until she died.

The 21-year-old Klinger apologized in court and said that he takes “full responsibility for the loss of a very special person.”

Klinger was sentenced to a minimum of 28 years and maximum of 56 years in prison. His sentencing includes time for a drug charge and for sending inappropriate photos to a minor.
