Olamide who played the lead role in Foluke Daramola-Salako’s movie, Cobweb, died today in Lagos. The 2015 best Kid Actor at BON Awards was playing football with his friends on Sunday. January 17th when he was mistakenly kicked in the stomach by another player. He fell to the ground and complained of pains. He was rushed to General Hospital, Ikeja Lagos, where he died a few hours later in the early hours of today Jan. 18th.
Actress Foluke took to her Instagram handle to react to the sad news. She posted apicture of the boy with the caption: “Death! Where is your string? Olamide David, my lead character in Cobweb, why does it have to be now? Why why why?”
The young Nollywood actor bagged the award for best kid actor at the 2015, BON awards held in Akure.
