A paedophile who infected a toddler and teenager with HIV, herpes and chlamydia has been jailed for life.
David Wilson, 34, from Houston, was found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl earlier this week.
A further assault – on a 23-month-old – was investigated after doctors discovered the toddler had numerous sexually transmitted infections.
The child’s family sought medical treatment at Memorial Hermann in November 2013 for a growth on the toddler’s genitals.
A doctor told investigators the child ‘had to have been sexually assaulted as evidenced by the presence of three sexually transmitted diseases.’
Medics had to perform reconstructive surgery due to the damage caused by the infections.
The only test to come back positive was Wilson.
In a sickening attempt to defend of his actions, the paedophile said: ‘I am not sorry we were together, no, I am sorry the HIV came into the situation,’ in relation to the teenager.
He added: ‘I never denied about us having a relationship.’
Wilson was already a registered sex offender. He sexually assaulted a teenager in Harris County and was sent to prison in 2005.
