Armed Police Arrest Seven In Raids At Six Addresses Across Britain Including Flat In Birmingham

Birmingham area where London attack car was rented sealed
Armed police have been involved in a raid at a hotel in Birmingham this evening, closing off part of the city for more than two hours. There have been reports that the road is the same one as the driver rented a car from which was used in the London terror attacks on Wednesday afternoon. Metropolitan Police at Scotland Yard are handling enquiries on the operation but they could not answer any questions for 'operational reasons'.

Armed police have arrested seven people as they search for associates of the 'lone wolf' terrorist who murdered three people in Westminster yesterday.
Six homes have been raided in London and Birmingham, where three people were detained in a flat above a takeaway last night.

Dozens of officers ran into the address on Hagley Road in the east of the city late yesterday evening. A neighbour said he believes the flat is the home of the Westminster attacker.
Other sources have claimed the 4x4 vehicle which injured at least 29 people yesterday was rented from a company on the same road.
Scotland Yard said that it was 'not prepared to discuss' the operation coordinated with West Midlands Police.
But a witness who works nearby said: 'The man from London lived here.'
