Three Students Filmed Themselves Before Fatal Crash, Pronounced Dead At The Scene

Three teenage students heading to Ndejje SS to get their recently released Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results have perished in a car crash. A fourth is in intensive care at Mulago.

The four students, one of who was reportedly driving the Toyota Brevis, met their fate on Bombo-Ndejje Road in Luwero after they crashed into a lorry loading bricks on the side of the road shortly before midday on Friday.

The boys are believed to have been 16 years old, two years below the minimum age one can get a driving permit in Uganda.

Police confirmed the incident just after 19 miles Bombo road, where three died on the spot, and the fourth was taken to nearby Bombo Military Hospital before being transferred to Nakasero Hospital.

The students are said to have recorded a video as they drove to school that has now been shared on social media.
