Villa Shooting: Aisha’s trigger-happy aide was Gov. Yahaya’s CSO

The report has emerged that Mrs Aisha Buhari’s aide-de-camp, DSP Usman Shugaba was until recently the Chief Security Officer to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

Shugaba is enmeshed in a shooting scandal inside the Villa trailing him alongside Mrs. Buhari and President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew and Personal Assistant and Private Secretary, Saibu Tunde Yusuf.

The DSP was arrested last Friday with five other security details of the first lady including her escort commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sheriff Kazeem.

Their sin was that the previous day they allegedly fired gunshots in a face-off with Yusuf that ensued while Mrs Buhari was trying to force her in-law to self-isolate for 14 days after returning from Lagos.

The cops have been in detention since then.

The report has emerged that Shugaba until three months ago was Gov. Bello’s CSO, a revelation that gave credence to rumour that the first lady and the governor enjoyed the wholesome relationship.

“Shugaba used to be Bello’s CSO and was redeployed by the force to the Villa at the instance of the First lady three months ago,” OrijoReporter was told.

The trigger-happy cop was said to be a key figure in the Kogi governor’s rancorous re-election in November 2019 that was characterized by violence.
