A school bus belonging to a private school has been hijacked on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2014 in Nyanya district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The bus hijacked by the gunmen belongs to Vine International Academy.

The bus was reportedly taken over by the gunmen as the bus arrived the school premises to drop off students for the new school day.
The school proprietress, Mrs Fola Kolade, has confirmed the hijack. “They tried to enter the school but they couldn’t. No children were taken but they took our school bus,” she said.
According to Kolade, all pupils of the school are safe.

The 48-year-old man poured petrol over the car and set it alight, restraining his daughter in the back seat, Rai News reported on Monday.

The girl’s 44-year-old mother sustained second- and third-degree burns in trying to save her daughter from the flames. The man and girl died in the car in Pescara, central Italy, while the woman was transferred to a Rome hospital where she is being treated.

The couple had until last year been living together with the five-year-old and the woman’s three daughters from a previous marriage, Rai News said.

Angry Youths Batter Estate Agent In Lagos

An estate agent, Otunba Kehinde Adeosun, has been battered by angry youths in Abule -Egba area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, for allegedly storming the area with thugs to remove the roofs, doors and windows of their houses. 

The victim who is nursing a broken skull is receiving treatment at a hospital. The suspected thugs also vandalisedthe house of a local chief who had fled the area to avoid being attacked. P.m News gathered that youths in the community mobilized and went to the agent’s house to attack him and his son.

The clash followed a land dispute which had lingered for many years in the area  but was recently resolved by a Supreme Court judgement, affirming the Iyorun Family of Awori Abule-Egba as the rightful owner of the controversial land.

Mother Sells Her Three-day-old Baby For N260,000

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a nursing mother, Imaobong Udoh, for allegedly selling her three-day old baby girl.

Also arrested along with Imaobong were four persons for allegedly participating in the theft of the baby.

Taiwo Omolara Shittu, a 500l student of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan, was attacked and killed on the 19th of February at her sister’s home at Opeyemi street, Gbagi in Ibadan.

Her sister, who she lived with, returned home from work around 5:30pm on Wednesday to find Taiwo in the pool of her own blood, her pants down to her ankle, and a machete stained with blood on the bed. Taiwo had been attacked with the machete as there was an opening on her head.

A Chinese teenager is accused of stabbing his own father to death after he confronted him over playing violent video games at an internet cafe instead of going to school and doing his homework.

The boy's father had gone to fetch his son from the internet cafe, but when the 14-year-old refused to return home the pair argued and the boy allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed his father. 

His mother, Hua Mai, blamed violent games for her husband's death, and said that the teenager had become 'addicted' to gaming.

She said that her son was a regular visitor to the internet cafe in Loudi in south China's Hunan province, and that his school work had started to suffer as he was missing classes and not doing his homework.

'When my husband spotted that he had once again skipped his studies to go with his friends and play video games, my husband Lu had gone to get the boy,' she said.

The 6-year-old boy, from the city of Shenyang in China’s northeastern Liaoning province, has a total of 31 fingers and toes – 16 toes, and 15 fingers (although one of those fingers is incomplete, being a fork at the end of the right thumb.) Three fingers on each hand are fused together.That beats the current world record of 25, held jointly by two Indian children, Pranamya Menaria and Devendra Harne, who both have 12 fingers and 13 toes.
