According to an inside source,Nkiru Sylvanus was in the company of her personal assistant and an ex-Mr.Nigeria when their vehicle was double crossed at gun point. Contrary to reports that she was kidnapped on Sunday, our source disclosed that she was actually kidnapped on Saturday night.
This is what IMO STATE BLOG was told:
She was driving herself with the leading actor and her PA. The light was not ready. No one knows. I would have If I was there. They where on location shooting the movie “The Voice” so am thinking she was upset with the people working cause nothing was working according to plan. I just don’t know…. it was abt 7:33 to 8pm
I wasn’t there. Went to buy food. my way back I called and called and her phone – off. Called her PA phone – off. An ex Mr Nigeria that was with her.
This morning (sunday) I found out she was kidnapped with the 2 people in the car. Am still in shock and pissed. Imo Is not better.
Our source further hinted that N100 million had been set as ransom. An indigene of Abia state, Nkiru was actively involved in the gubernatorial campaign of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. Following the inauguration of his administration, Sylvanus was appointed as Liason officer for Lagos State.
It will be recalled that in July, the State Government announced a minor cabinet reshuffle and Nkiru Sylvanus stepped into the position of Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs. Shortly after resuming in Owerri, she told IMO STATE BLOG that she considered the new appointment as an opportunity for her to do what she enjoyed doing most (Interacting with people).
Earlier today, the Imo State Government issued a statement confirming the abduction. According to the statement, the kidnappers had made contact with certain government officials.
