'This Is Corporate Manslaughter': London MP Calls For Arrests Amid Fears Hundreds May Have Died After Warnings Over Dangerous 'Environmentally Friendly' Cladding Were Ignored

A London MP has branded the Grenfell Tower blaze 'corporate manslaughter' and demanded arrests are made. Labour's David Lammy - who said he was losing hope for close friends caught up in the tragedy - said he feared 'hundreds' had died. And the furious Tottenham MP insisted that people must be 'held to account' for allowing the disaster to happen. Without identifying anyone he regarded as culpable, Mr Lammy pointed out that housing conditions in the capital were too often 'unacceptable' and urged the demolition of unsafe buildings.
