Pogba Inspires United to Thumping Old Trafford Win with Double and an Assist to Make it 12 Goals in Three Matches Under Solskjaer

Manchester United 4-1 Bournemouth: Paul Pogba is the star of the show hitting a brace
Paul Pogba is enjoying life under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. The French midfielder netted two goals for the second straight game as he assumed the role of conductor in a dominant win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The first a tap-in. The second a bullet header. Marcus Rashford grabbed a third before Romelu Lukaku came off the bench to latch onto a through ball from Man of the Match Pogba to cap off a fine afternoon at Old Trafford. Nathan Ake robbed Solskjaer of a first clean sheet since taking charge but with three wins from three - and the gap on fifth-placed Arsenal now down to three points - the smiles are back in the red half of Manchester.

The charismatic Frenchman had the task of poking into an empty net for his first after brilliance from Marcus Rashford

On both occasions, Pogba struck a pose to celebrate; hands resting on his midriff, sideways glance, beaming smile. He even practised it in the warm-up such is the renewed confidence in Pogba and this United team.

It's hard to imagine that only a few weeks ago he was booed after coming on as a substitute against Arsenal.

The man branded 'a virus' by Jose Mourinho as he headed for the sack has proved to be quite the antidote under the new regime. He was only denied a hat-trick when he hit the post in the second half.
