A Visibly shocked President Jonathan at the Police Training college, Ikeja, Lagos when he paid an unscheduled visit.
He could not believe that our police recruits are dehumanized to this
level by those charged with the management of the college and the Police
authorities.
The
President who was on a planned official visit,made a u-turn to pay an
unexpected visit to the Ikeja Police College where he was shocked to see
the deplorable state of the college and the dormitory in particular.
The animal abode that our police officers are housed is enough to make
them more of an animal than they display.Even animals in the Nigerian
zoos live far much better than our officers in the Ikeja Police College.
Will our Governors and other sit and eat overpaid public offices take
to this style if it is for real and not a set up to hit a target who
must disagreed or even threatened to expose the urgly system.
Why would Jonathan and his predecessors keep appointing retired military
officers as minister of police while we have lots of retired police
officers ?
Who and who is gonna pay for this mess ?I hope that
no one picks on the Inspector General alone,even the minister of
police,the head of the college and national security adviser must all
relinquished their positions immediately.
And the recent celebrated mass officers promotions must be properly revisited.
And since when
did President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan realize that unscheduled visits
can change a lot by exposing a lot,instead of the very common public
officer airconditioned office,home and official vehicle style of
government ?
