A 17-year-old was in critical condition at an Indianapolis hospital Sunday night after his car collided with a pole near Fountain Square.
Around 9 p.m. Sunday, emergency crews were dispatched to a driver entrapped in his vehicle after crashing into a utility pole on the 700 block of East Morris Street.
Police said witnesses stated that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed just prior to the crash, and that it spun twice before hitting the pole.
The driver, a 17-year-old male, was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
